Who do you like in the Arkansas Derby? Can Muth ship and win. What About Mystik Dan on a Fast Track.

I’m backing those two, the pedigree seems to relish the off going but he also ran 1:03.1 for 5.1/2 suggesting the potential is there, to be a future star, a fast race at 2yos on a dry track back by a superior effort 3yos is what we look for in their early 3yos season, and to shade 6 seconds is unheard of, even though the question remains, can he replicate it on a dry surface? I’ll take my chances, I’d say his competition is Muth, except Just Steel spring a surprise, I’m not getting trap with Timberlake, some horses just have to beat you

not sure yet but the 2 that ran behind timberlake last time didn't do much in their preps on sat. maybe telling .

Craig, I like Liberal Art's, and I may have to make a small across the board play on him. His last was off a long layoff, I think he can move up. I don't know if he can win, but, maybe run better. He definitely has to run faster.

I have a few future bets on Liberal Arts. I like his recent workouts. I think he gets a fast pace here and a top three finish is possible.

Muth is going to the top for sure....after that, who knows? I'm very curious to see if Mystik Dan is a real player, I do like him. Conquest Warrior with just this one chance to make the Derby field....I hope he fires!! Great vid, thank you!

Looking at them both last night, this looks like a much stronger race than the Florida Derby. I'm really interested to see how Timberlake measures up to Muth this time around. Not sure if you can find any future markets to bet on Timberlake in the KY Derby, but if you like him in this race I think that's a smart play. Most believe the Baffert 3YOs are the strongest this year, and if he beats Muth in a G1 with the Rebel in his back pocket, I think that's enough to send him to the Derby starting gate as the ML favorite, giving you a lot of value as I think he's somewhere in the 9-1/12-1 range right now. I felt he rated comfortably in the Rebel so you should be fine there, tho personally I see a little less pace here and I think I'll be taking Muth on top if the price is sensible. He's been off for a while, yes, but Baffert seems to have him in top condition. That string of 6f workouts suggests to me that Baffert thinks this might be his Preakness horse with Nysos temporarily shelved.

Muth has been running against stalemates in really short fields. Been beating allowance horses at best. Timberlake is not an allowance hotse.

Spot on. He has been given the Baffert cloak of invincibility but he’s a Reincarnate type at best. Highly suspect that he has the staying power at a slower Arkansas track and has faced no one. More than happy to let him take money.

You probably know by some of my comments on your other videos that I'm a huge fan of Just Steel. I'm going to play him in my exotics. Don't think he can get the win here. He seems a little tired. I like Liberal Arts, Mystik Dan, and Dimatic here. Will most likely put them in a superfecta. I'm just not sold on Timberlake and Muth. Wouldn't be surprised if one of them win though.

I definitely like Timberlake off the win for the Rebel, even if Muth wins then how will the points be distributed? Back to Timberlake I have him on my futures so hoping he is the one to win the derby

Any points that Muth Earns are vacated. So if he finishes 1st through 5th. then those points don't get awarded to anybody. Timberlake is already in the field, but Mystic Dan probably needs a top 3 finish.

All in on my boy Liberal Arts. I have faith he'll like the longer distance. Timberlake doesn't need the lead. He sat midpack in the rebel until the turn. Muth is very dangerous here. I think he'll get the lead easy.

I like Dimatic & Just Steel, but, Lucas trains horses like the did in the old days and they are not bred for that. JS has probably run too much, still like him.

I have Timberlake, Dimatic and imperial gun in my Derby futures. I’ll be happy if all 3 finish in $! For some reason though it’s been disappointing for Steve A and the Gun Runners

Yes I had futures on Imperial Gun, I think he will run better, but not sure he is improving fast enough.

Just Steel with his TWELFTH career start. The horse is exhausted as evidenced by a bad showing in the Rebel. Horribly mismanaged by Lukas, would likely already be in the Derby gate if Lukas has spotted him more conservatively.
