We all say something that gets under others Skin especially if you are around them enough so that means someone is watching you a lot and that’s a good thing. My Anti is always saying : (you know) but I know I must say something as well so Cody it just means you’re part of the family 👍

Love that you made this! It's one of the most beautiful places in the world. lived off of Trail 86 (off of Hwy 7 near Hollis). It's where I first saw the milky way, a tornado, and so many other firsts in my life. There are so many stories to tell about these places and those mountains.

I'm so glad to find your channel! I know this area well. While I now "Glamp" nearby (wife likes those creature comforts:) I still managed to log 156 foot miles in the ONF this past Nov-Dec. I park and walk with the compass... old school stuff. I wish I could convey what a treasure this place is to folks here in Arkansas. I've been to most of the places you folks have shared in your videos. Been kayaking around these parts for 25 years now....hiking and camping for twice that..almost......showing my age, right?! It's a joy to see that in this generation, how do I say it without offending the metro folk....your generation out there experiencing the splendor we have at our backdoor! I appreciate how you folks keep it simple and minimalist. I knew when you put the chairs in the middle of the road to see the Milky Way that you have indeed experienced some of the same incredible things I do when I'm out there. DO NOT ever change the cooking/meal part of the vids.....very good! I've tried several of her recipes.......simple and brilliant....and TASTY! Well done you two...hope to cross paths sometime!!! Frank

Thank you for all your kind words! When we first started camping like this, we were telling people how amazing Arkansas nature is, how we don’t really ruff it, and how we also get to basically go on vacation every weekend. However, they did not believe us. So that’s when we thought... well let’s start a KZbin channel and show them. Our goal is to inspire others to get out of the metro life and reconnect with nature. You start to find out whats really important in life. We used to be the people who needed all the material things, and wanted the latest and greatest gear. But the more we spend out there the less we want to have, and the more we just get want we need. Thank you so much for your support, and we will keep it simple for sure. If you ever see us, please stop and say hi!

Beautiful area at the Floating Tree. Can't beat camping out next to a stream, very relaxing. That was a 5-Star dinner you cooked up. That looked good! Thanks for picking up that trash. Some people shouldn't be allowed in the forest. Thanks for sharing.

That's a really nice spot! my wife and I went canoe camping a couple weeks ago at lake Ouachita on a little dolphin shaped island, we found tons of 'gorgeous' quartz crystals. It was an amazing time and we may have never gone to lake Ouachita if I hadn't seen your channel 😁
@CodyandKellie4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! We are so excited that you enjoyed yourself out on the islands and found quartz crystals! We are not big lake people (enjoy moving water more) but there is just something magical about that lake. If you got any content, would love for you to share it in our Facebook Group! It’s called “Dome Life - The World From A Tent.”

@@CodyandKellie I will definitely check it out! I'm a big moving water person too but winter camping with a pregnant wife made the lake the perfect location.

Great video. Excellent photography. I love food too. You look like you eat so well on your camping trips. I tip my hat to you for picking up trash. I usually make a snide comment and then drive past. Your February trip looks much dryer than ours. We had one nice day and two cool Rainey days. Take care

Thank you for watching Amy! Y’all could do it. 😂 You could try anyway. With kids it would be a lot of extra stuff. It wasn’t too cold this time. I will not camp under 35°. The dew is what makes it terrible. Our tent would be frozen and it didn’t even rain.

new sub! Your channel came across my recommendations. I'm from Arkansas as well and love to kayak camp. Just uploaded a video on it maybe that's how I came across yours. Ouachita is on my bucket list this year. What's a good area to look into camping wise where I can bring my kayak too?
@CodyandKellie4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Lake Ouachita is a beautiful place to put a kayak in. You can go to little islands all over and have a private beach to yourself! They also have a few campgrounds all over. You can also camp on the islands!

Sure thing. On day hikes we normally just have our hammocks, water filtration system, knife, small first aid kit, swim wear if the weather is good, and our camera gear. If you would like, we can try and put together a little how to vlog and show you all that we have this weekend and post next week?
