“Arkansas, You Run Deep in Me” by Wayland Holyfield (Arkansas Community Foundation, 2021)

Arkansas Community Foundation was honored to be given the rights to one of our State Songs, “Arkansas, You Run Deep in Me” by native Arkansan and hall of fame singer/songwriter Wayland Holyfield. The Foundation has created a music video featuring Arkansas in all her glory and showcasing some of the people who have benefited from generations of generosity through the Community Foundation.

I just heard Wayland Holyfield's song, "Arkansas " You Run Deep In Me. OMG! AMAZING! I am a simple 60 year old caregiver in Michigan. Is there anyone who can contact this fantastic artist and ask him to write a song for this Country. Not for Republicans or Democrats- FOR ALl OF US!!! 🙏

We've seen this Arkansas State Song on AETN's (Now Arkansas PBS) sign-off and sign-on as a 2 parter, and on AETN's analog sign-off in a full length tune. And we do visit our Arkansas State relatives and follow the Talimena Scenic Skyline Drive when we take a trip there, and go through Arkansas cities and towns on our road trips to Arkansas The Natural State.

I’m a Tennessee native here born n bred but I LOVE this song it reminds me of my Tennessee!!! I was a trucker 24 years went thru Arkansas many a time on my way to and from Los Angeles many a time I met MANY a good person there in your state of Arkansas!!!
