The US reviewers had a lot of skin in the game. They were motivated by commission for each and every Arken scopes they sold through their codes and affiliate links. Anywhere between 17% and 25% commission per scope sold. The honest reviewers including KZbinr Eagle eye shooter who was an Arken dealer who even recommend buying a better brand instead of Arken which was his opinion at least Vortex.

They sell for $1200 Australian here, which is around 700 pounds. A bit beyond my budget I'm afraid.

For $1200 sounds like you don't have to buy made in China. I'd go with a Meopta or at least a Leupold.

Got my arkens on sale 349 and 449 us. Bushnell was 549. Forges are few here. Up to 849 us now. Cant find them here now. Lucky, i guess

Would love this scope but it’s double the price here in the uK! That’s just daylight robbery! How r the UK distributors/retailers justifying that?? I will be asking my sister to send me one over from the states.

I sold my Vortex venom when my ep5 came in. Its just better. Better glass, better internals, and more audible clicks.

A $550 dollar scope isn't going to have quality glass even when the glass Japanese made. Rudolph Optics Japanese glass quality below Vortex Viper PST scopes. The 'big' thing with Arken EP5 is the turrets, not the glass. Moondog Industries - review Arken EP-5 scope two weeks ago. I was just about to order Arken EP-5, but not now.

The Arken EP5 was selling for $450 which was a decent price for this scope. It's designed as an entry level budget scope. If you get a good one, the turrets are great and glass is ok up until 20x. I wouldn't pay $550 for it. I'm a glass snob and the EP5 simply glass isn't good enough for me. I need the image quality to be at least equal to the $500 Athlon Midas Tac 6-24x50 on high magnification. The Arken EP5 is a decent scope when they are on sale for $450 for people who can't afford to buy better quality scopes. I wouldn't recommend the SH4 6-24x even for $299 due to poor glass quality. Their SH4 4-16x for $289 has much better image quality than the 6-24x. Their EPL4 6-24x50 has too much purple fringing chromatic aberration for my use.

Better off paying $499 for a Japan made Sightron SIII 6-24x50 with zero stop from Cameraland in NY. I've never ever seen any Japan made Sightron SIII selling for this cheap before.
