Arken Zulus, .17HMR, Rabbits....and a few rats

Windy night with the HMR but it was still a formidable tool to thin out the Rabbits, sadly the Hares need to be controlled on here at the wish of the landowner, a few rats fell victim on the way back to the van. In one clip I forgot to flick the IR on but the Zulus was still able to make out the Rabbits. Thanks for watching

Nice footage. Was that using the Zulus onboard IR illuminator? Haven't noticed the halo/donut effect on other Zulus videos I've watched.

hi Paul i was using an additional IR to save battery life on the zulus, the halo effect most likely comes from shooting it on low mag at longer ranges, i have noticed if i go to x7 it fills the display much better on longer shots, used the x5 setting on ratsvand it fills the screen as its a lot closer. thanks for watching

hi Paul thanks for watching, i think the halo effects is due to the distance i was shooting on base mag x5, therefore not quite filling the display, i did notice when the mag is up past x5 its a full screen. worth mentioning the additional IR inwas using may have also caused this halo effect as its avle to reach out to 400yrds so even when dimmed down to its widest it may have caused the halo on lower mag, next time im out i will try the onboard IR to check and get back to you

@@paulh71 yeah I suspect its because there for reaching out further so on the closer shots they naturally tunnel, how far can you get out to with the Sirius?

@@Veteranvermincontrol I’m using an old pard 007, so depends on what scope I use it on. Can see clearly to 250m and beyond on my Bushnell 4200
