The sad thing is, it is very likely that Lock ups abuse made Crane *worse* You see, in the tie in comics, we see that Crane is incredibly conflicted with himself. His scarecrow persona cares about nothin gbut fear but he as Crane, his true self, just genually wants to teach. From how Crane wears the Scarecrow costume when he escapes, we know he most probably uses his identity as Scarecroe like a security blanket, without it, hes just the weak scrawny proffesor of psychology, but with it, he becomes something more, something feared, he becomes Scarecrow. As we see, or rather, don't see, In the new batman adventures, we get almost no Crane. Just Scarecrow. And while in BTAS the Scarecrow had a flair for the dramatic, but in a dork type of way, that ALL is gone in TNBA. He speaks slowly, calmly, completl, unlike his past self. He has completlly lost himself to the Scarecrow identity. To when he feals powerful and strong. And considering he was desprate enough to escape from Lock up and still wore his costume (despite us knowing he could easily get hired for teaching again, check the annual tie in comics) shows that Lock up probably ended up really traumatizing him and might have been the reason Crane lost himself in the Scarecrow identity Thank you for coming to my Ted talk, and now is the part I say BTAS Crane and Scarecrow give the vibes of a wet cat, and I adore that. @@thebobbrom7176 sure but again, you want to apply cartoon world to real world? Gassing people (scare crow) and beating and killing people (Harley Quinn) and only being sentenced to an asylum isn’t realistic. You are taking logic A and trying to apply it to logic B.
