I miss this side of Bruce Wayne, he got each one of these inmates into Arkham only to play an active role in making sure they truly get a chance to be rehabilitated. And when he sees this abusive Warden, he immediately sees the signs and knows just what to say to give his former rivals the courage to speak up against him. Even the fact that he is already in the room to do that shows how much compassion he has, even to the people who have actively tried to hurt him in the past.

One comic that does show it is the one where Harley meets the second ventriloquist who pretends Scarface is her boyfriend. Harley hates her guts because, on her first night in Arkham, Wesker managed to break free from Scarface long enough to try and cheer her up. It's because Bruce, not Batman, in this iteration has seen how Mental Health can really tank someone's life and that the people who do suffer from mental health issues are dealing with demons no one else can see. Two-face is a great example because he actually knows and still cares about Harvey Dent within the DCAU. So for him to see someone else denigrating them straight up pisses him off. @@christophercardoza2872Sometimes people may do it for the sense of power and/or control over another person, or even moreso because they had the opening/opportunity; it's not really dependent on whether or not the POS finds the victim attractive or not. Also, as others stated, the studio was technically making a kids' show, and likely could not directly state or reference that being a possible aspect of Harley's treatment. In reality, as well, victims of that horrendous crime and act feel fear stepping forward to admit how they were abused, but may experience other emotions, such as embarassment or shame (i.e., beating themselves up about it well after the crime has committed, like: "oh, I can't believe I let myself get taken advantage of"). This is a very complicated and serious subject, and no two individuals who have unfortunately gone through this abuse are going to have identical reactions. I don't blame you for pointing out how it would make some sense for her to state it, if it had happened, but the human psyche, our emotions, and our reactions to trauma/abuse are all fairly weird, and again, complicated. Hopefully I made some sense? It's early in the morning for me and I need sleep, so if what I said was incoherent, then that's why lol
