My friend, an Iraq combat veteran, has been a coheed fan his entire life. His last leave, I had a surprise for him. We were going to see Coheed live. But when he got back, he broke some horrible news. He had lost his hearing in an IED explosion. He still wanted to see them, so we went. You know what he did? He sang every goddamn song. I would tell him which song they were playing, and he sang each one.Fuckin' amazing.

This song from my favorite band of all time captures the true essence of everything that makes us humans spiritual beings. The eternal conflict of Justice, righteousness, and truth versus, dissolution, deception, and lies. It's the same story told for thousands of years. We are all familiar with. The word "Masterpiece" is thrown around a lot these days. A masterpiece captures a moment, event or tells a story and is able to draw emotion from the person watching or listening. This song regardless of how you feel about Coheed does exactly that. It tells the epic story of these two iconic characters from a perspective that can be understood by anyone that knows anything about "The Dark Knight" From the days of Keaton to the now Beal and comics themselves. This song captures it all

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this really captures the relationship between Batman and the Joker. It's like a yin and yang dynamic; while they may be opposites, both are elements of nature, dark and light. All things are dualistic and yet one. This song really makes you feel for both characters and that exact opposition, yet composition aspect of their morals and ethics.

Honestly, this is the first song by Coheed and Cambria that I've actually sit down and listened to, and I've got to say... it's great. It's dark lyrics and themes are addicting, not to mention how the song itself almost perfectly summarizes the unique, ongoing relationship between Batman and the Joker. I believe that the singer voice also helps to enhance the overall theme/direct of the song since it could be characterized as being very Joker-like.

How r c&c fans weird as shit?? Isn't that a good thing I mean everyone I meet at these shows r really cool people. Intelligent, friendly, deep thinkers with perspective that pretty much sums up most of them.. maybe u lack empathy and understanding of the concepts so the music doesn't resonate well with you?? They nailed this song in every aspect its supposed to symbolize the mutual dependence of Good and evil. While joker is bats' nemesis, nobody understands batman like he does. They pity but love one another in a brotherly way and its very very personal.

Because a few of you I personally know act like Claudio Sanchez is God and everything Coheed is a religion. Yes, Coheed has a lot of depth, has a fantastic backstory, and is overall a great band, but the devotion some Coheed fans have is terrifying. I only see this really in the Coheed fandom. It's great that a band has done a lot for you, because music is all about touching people, but this band has some obsessed people to the extent that I wonder how Claudio and Chondra sleep at night. I consider myself a fan, but I don't advertise it often for this reason.

You just proved my point for me, so thanks. I lack empathy because I don't want to be associated with a fandom that has freaked a musician out to the extent of writing a song about it (Holly Wood the Cracked)? Right, okay. I'm not a moron. I like the music and know what it's about, I just have other things going on than worshipping the ground a musician walks on just because he makes good music. Good on him for helping people, but that doesn't make him a freaking deity who can do no wrong. That sentiment with Coheed fans makes me not want to associate with them. Sorry if that bothers you.
