very cool track. The Rev2 is a fantastic beast. I will sell any of my synths but not this one..

High quality contents thanks for it. I like the mix between studio and outsides walk for creativity. The feeling is well shown. The track is great, if I can say I think only that the bass notes you choose give a a too dark ambiance. By the way it's very cool :) I have my rev2 since 3 months, still learning on it, can't wait to use it in production. Cheers from France.

how many tracks was this? And was it all just the Prophet rev2?
@TempleOfHoly4 жыл бұрын
All sounds were created on the Prophet Rev2. I don't recall the exact number of tracks, but there were many.

And listening back to it now, I'm thinking I should have done a better job mixing it. Oh well ~

@@TempleOfHoly, thanks for the response I definitely dig it and figured it was probably a lot of layers to get that sound, well done! It's vids like this that make me consider the prophet despite my distaste for it's filters.

@@TempleOfHoly I 9ften feel that way about my own stuff, I think you did a fine job mixing it, it sounds really good and good enough I had to ask how many tracks because it was hard to tell for sure, it didn't come across that way fwiw!

@@24framemedia the Curtis filters are not for everyone. Here is an album I made entirely with the Rev2: transcendallidentities.bandcamp.com/album/maze

Well done! Fantastic programming and arrangement, particularly that lead piano sound. Any tips you can offer on getting that rich acoustic tone? I’ve been trying to make a nice piano patch but they always end up sounding too synthesized. I’d sort of settled, thinking a realistic piano was out of the REV2’s reach. Your video has made me a believer.

Hi, thank you for listening and for the kind words. As you know, Analog synths are not ideal for creating Acoustic Piano tones. For this particular song I was aiming to create a modulating and a more textured, dark piano-like sound. Once Upon A Synth has an in depth tutorial on his channel where he covers creating several piano patches on a Deep Mind 12. I recommend checking that out, it might be helpful and should be very simple to recreate on a Prpohet: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5Oqc4qfjLqhfaM

Haha. Unfortunately, very aware they are not the ideal candidates for realistic piano patches, but I keep trying anyway, and the one you’ve got going here is plenty realistic enough to give me some hope. I’ll definitely check out that link. Thanks for the tip! And keep up the great work.

@@Earthcircle check out robust american patches for rev2 cheap and some real interesting stuff including one that is very pianoish... I learnt a hell of a lot from them as they opened up some areas of tonal quality I didnt know existed on my REV2. Not affiliated with patch maker !

Needless to say this track is amazing-- probably the best full track I've heard out of the Rev2, but can we talk about the close up shots of rushing water? Obviously KZbin's compression doesn't do the movement justice but the color grading is on point🔥Kinda reminds me of the cover of The Avalanches' "Since I Left You," but more muted and severe. I'm wondering were the percussive elements also made with the Rev2? Really great video, friend. Thank you for sharing💕
@TempleOfHoly3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind words! Yes, the percussive elements were also created on the REV2.
