I'm not sure how it would. I'm assuming you mean with Surtr's S3. Specter alter S1 is just generic attack up but with swapping hp. It's better to use healer than specter alter. I'm not saying it wouldn't work, it's just a better pair with healer

I'd like to see a medic that can instantly heal almost 8K HP... There's value in not having to dedicate a medic to sustain Surtr, since they're also limited by tile deployment. Spectralter has a 10 second initial cooldown with S1M3, so you could potentially helidrop the two together.

Waiting on medic, vanguard, defender and caster Abyssal Hunters. I'd imagine a Wandering Medic, a Charger vanguard, a Protecter defender and a Core caster would fit well. The protector is the only 6 star, the rest are 5. Taking a page from Purestream and Whisperain, the medic could have an instant cast skill that heals all ally operators in range with elemental damage, and an infinite duration skill that lets her heal up to two targets at once with her healing being increased on both of them. The vanguard could take from Wildmane, having a passive deployment skill dealing multiplicative damage with every attack, and being able to attack two targets at once. Second skill could be a heli-drop skill extending her attack range and applying a slow to all targets in range. The defender could be like Hoshiguma, having an extra tile range. Her first skill could be a charge based skill that lets her deal physical damage to all targets in her range. Her talent could be that all targets blocked by her receive a fragile status. Second skill would increase her defense and block count, stopping her from attacking, but also every attack triggers her to deal damage to everyone in range. Third skill could stop her from attacking and creating a slowing+damaging field around her. All blocked enemies within her range could also be affected by her talent. Finally the core caster takes after Tomimi, in that she deals physical damage when her skill is active. 1st one, range is only reduced to 2x3, attacks hit everyone in range, and deal a bonus hit of arts. 2nd, range is 3x 4, but limited to only blocked targets, attack interval is reduced, and deals a bonus hit of arts. Those are my concepts. I think it'd be fun making blocking more of a relevant strategy again.

Tbf only needed class is caster through the lack of AH's arts damage. So continuing idea of alters, Andreana could be mystic caster because of her insane damage output in her previous form. AH talent must be +sp/sec to all AH fellas.

sigh, got specter alter, but its usage is abysmal, skill 1 is gimmick skill, skill 2 is worse than 5 star counter part, skill 3 looks good on paper, when she dies the puppet come up, but no sp charge during that period, so for her skill to work multiple time, u either using healer to keep her alive or adds 20s extra puppet time and risk her dying again b4 skill recharge complete, and if you use healer then her s3 extra hit hardly works unless your heal is kept to a point that never fully heals her.

Let's see if Spalter can shine on next CC, too bad her kit is pretty standard for a Limited Alter Operator, i expect some unique mechanic like they did on Kazemaru but it seems she only become a Guard that can't "die" her sp cost also pretty high. Her lore and E2 art is Outstanding tho.

The more showcase of Spec-alter I see, I feel like being in the dollkeeper archetype is kinda a miss. Her S3 is just the perfect skill had she been a Musha guard, the lower the HP the higher damage type of unit. Her doll mechanic is so underused, she right now is basically just a side grade to her 5* guard version, not exactly the most interesting imo. She is not bad by any means, just not interesting. Imagine if she can summon her doll on demand like Kazemaru, that will makes her some interesting crowd control option like Saileach S3. I would have prefer for her doll to inflict any Debuff instead of dealing ignorable art damage.

@@chirppybunscomics8378 yeah I like it actually. she trades away damage for lots and lots and lots of survivabiility. she's even more unkillable compared to her guard form which was already crazy enough. besides her s3 damage is nothing to sneeze at, she's one of the highest damage dealers in specialists, which can circumvent guard bans. you don't even have to worry about her dueling a troublesome enemy since she can just revive as a doll. she's still pretty niche, probably even more niche as a CC/IS unit, but that's fine, she's a specialist anyways

Her doll mechanic is what made the DM EX 4 easier than its supposed to be. Slowing down wraiths and lancers is part of her kit (although there's also the vent helping but you get the point). Not to mention its an aoe arts slow zone. She's absolutely annoying to deal with if you're the enemy.

From a gameplay perspective, you are correct. Her role as a DPS is soooo underused in Dollkeeper Archetype, she better be "classified" as a Guard because that's should be where she belongs to. From a character perspective however, Spalter skillset manages to capture her sheer craziness. You see, ALL of Spalter skill involving harming herself in one way or another (trading HP with others with S1, LITERALLY kill herself with S2 and GRADUALLY kill herself using S3), gaining extreme power in return. Her kit is completely wild and almost random, but totally in-character for someone like Specter (or Laurentina from now on). Dollkeeper is not only perfect for such self-harming skillset, but also fit with the "Survival" theme of her naming scheme.

If by underused you mean her skills doesn't utilize her doll whatsoever, I agree. Spalter/Spectral is essentialy a guard with the doll trait. It does however fit her lore and the story and we have hope the module(s) can further empower her doll.

I don't see why she'd be put with the moody blues. She's not total garbage or anything. If a CC has a guard ban, then you still win the stall game because you can just bring Specter as a specialist with S2 for longer stall (15 sec vs 20 sec) and not to mention the slow after she swaps to a doll. Only cons on that are no aoe and helidrop sp to proc is 10 compared to og Specter's 5. No clue how S3 would fare though.
