Melanite has quickly become one of my favourite units to use, she's just really good in a way that rarely gets appreciated because Schwarz and Pozyomka are so cracked

@@caliginousinsight yeah manga chapters are still releasing at a snail's pace as usual, though it's very much shaping up to be the finale i also want to see the end of 3rei already but at the same time it'll be very sad to see it go, it's just such a passionate love letter to the Nasuverse as a whole that i can't help but value it at the same level as Stay Night, especially after learning how much Nasu himself enjoys it but hey maybe there'll at least be an epilogue arc titled 4ier lol

see I followed the manga until shortly after 3rei started & briefly came back for the parts they turned into oath under snow and it's got interesting concepts for sure and sometimes even executes them well, like the author isn't just some amateur, but it's so dependent on rehashing fsn for its emotional plot beats on top of the core premise fundamentally misunderstanding Illya's character in fsn (the tragedy is that she was a deeply physically and emotionally stunted teenager due to a decade of abandonment and abuse, why is she in elementary school) that you might as well just read fsn itself to get the same emotional payoff but better, and if you want cool worldbuilding and fsn rehashing there's casefiles and strange fake and so on which have the same passion for nasuverse without the objectionable character designs. hell even fgo is less prone to undermining its emotional core with poorly timed and frankly distasteful "fanservice". but the comments of an arknights video are hardly the place to be having this discussion so I'll leave it at that.
