I've been wanting an operator which does something like what his S3 does for soo long with a good cycle unlike Pramanix who, while solid in her skill effects, just doesn't do enough on her lengthy downtime imho. This is the most I've been excited for an upcoming operator since Ling years ago lol. Thorns was my first 6* outside of the beginner banner and I really like his new form, from the design to the kit, yes (っ °Д °;)っ

Wait a minute, have anyone also realize that despite all of his skill being a duration based skill, he can start gaining sp as soon as he activates them ? Also, does his S3 damage tick stacks?

Well, S1 is an attack type thing so it's used automatically and gains sp the same way. S2 has charges and those gain sp despite using the skill. S3 is weird. I would have thought that the skill activation would be like a normal skill, but I guess that, because it's a deployable alchemy unit, his skill counts it's use as an object (Like Silence's drone). If the damage stacks... I don't have a single scooby dooby clue.

​@@mag7520Yeah, it has to be related to the deployable thingy. Also, i just checked the wiki. The wording and placement of "(does not stack)" in S3 is suspicious, but arknights wiki gg listed that the damage over time stacks, can hit aerial, and effective even if lodestar himself is retreated from the field.

@@daktotathecolossus7404well even as support he is not that great s2 heal is very inconsistent , s3 requires too much planning for unstackable debuffs,plus most of the time map layout just wont let you use it at full potential.also another problem is that alchemist is a specialist ,not supporter meaning he cant even buff his skill recharge rate by using suzu and at this point suzu is just plain better at debuffing and healing.what about his traits his second trait provides almost no aspd increase and it also relies on map layout for full potential. He is totally mid.

​@hizofee7131 1) "inconsistent s2" His s2 has 90% uptime compared to Suzuran s3 at about 83%, not to mention Suzuran's long cycle that can leave her teammates vulnerable 2) "map layout won't let you use s3 at full potential" You have an Wisadel range, in that range you place 2 operators near the enemies, you press s3, you get debuff. Literally nothing to do with the map 3) "he can't use Suzuran's talent to boost his sp gain" Irrelevant. S1 has over 100% uptime, s2 has 90%, s3 has similar to Suzuran's s3 uptime with her talent

Imagine if Suzuran could shed 60% of Patrick phase 1 with skill3 while still retaining all the other support utility and also having half the downtime. Underwhelming indeed...
