I think Lungmen is based on Hong Kong while Yen is Ancient China Mixed with the modern world I mean, Lungmen speaks Cantonese... Also, the background is in Simplified Chinese so it is awkward to say where this is... In Hong Kong everything is mostly written in Traditional Chinese

Imagine you're a ex-gangster, just got kick out of the gang and being arrested. The two officiers offered you to help them find your old gang for some reward and free from prison. The investigation turn into the weirdest day of your life, one officier was always cheerful and making jokes, meanwhile her co-worker was extremely serious and always glace her eyes at you scarily. The day end with lil to no clue about your gang, all three of you was very tired. The cheerful officier said that we didn't get anything, but at least it was a fun and relaxing day. You thought a bit about it, and yes, it was nice. Still it is the weirdest day of your life.

Sounds like it's inspired by traditional Beijing (Peking) Opera. If you check the artist's channel, kzbin.infovideos, they seem to do lots of interesting things with electric Chinese instruments.
