She did have some kind of combat experience in the story, went one on one with the carwash guy for like a few minutes or something. But that hardly proves anything since: 1. The guy got one-shotted by Alberto. 2. Whenever fights happened Texas just fought for her. 3. Look at Mudrock, she's a goddamn monster in one event, so Penance should've at least defeated one of the big guy in story but yeah, she did almost nothing. Fun fact: Lunacub fought more than Penance in event :(

Its actually noted in the story that she took out a number of famiglia heavies when they tried assaulting her. From the dialogue of Demetri when the members incited him to continue pursuing penance.

⁠@@sliceycakey8322 i think we kinda short selling the carwash guy, yeah of course he got one shot by Alberto but that man Alberto, in the same sequence of events also bitch slapped Lappland which she had a hard time standing up again afterwards and also defeated both Demetria and Leon together easily and yeah all four of them fought against him. Still doesnt change the fact about penance combat capabilities and car wash guy even though being an elite assassin still just got one shot.

I'm assuming the book can act as some sorta extension but a lotta the time when there's like half a dozen people fighting we don't really get to know what she does at all 😔

Works against 1v1 with few sp tacticals but it's more consistent with specialists aspd and sp. Less than 3 sp is enough for me, investing the rest on aspd makes the bonks more useful. Again, only 1v1.

Hey gang, i'm new to the game; and i got Surtr on my first 10 pull. So urm... Ngl, for now all the rarities... Make no difference. *I have no idea on what i'm doing.* As of now, it's just, "random bs go!".

it'll be like that for some time to be honest. you'll eventually hit a wall, and then you'll need to do some thinking (or rely on KyostinV idk). just be sure to build 1 or 2 vanguards. surtr isn't even that necessary for the point of the game you're in, but she sure does trivilize a lot of the content early on.

The lower rarity units cost less to upgrade, but also have a lower max level and are generally weaker at max investment. ie. Lower rarity units are cheap to upgrade to make them decent, but only max out at decent. Higher rarity units are really expensive to upgrade, but once fully upgraded, become really strong. Surtr at max investment is one of the strongest units in the game due to her third Skill and her talent coming together to allow her to nuke enemies while being really hard to kill.

Thanks, you two. And yeah, i've found that building lower rarity characters (3 stars to 4 stars) are a lot more viable early due to resource disparity and lower costs. I'm currently struggling with 3-8 - without supports because i'm stubborn.

It is good to raise lower rarities first since it lets you have enough operators to build teams to adapt to the stage.
