To be honest I'd give episode a 7 at most compared to the source material. But I rarely enjoy adaptations of works I've read beforehand. It's obviously better than no anime and it's cool to see the characters animated and voiced etc.

I just realized the seaborn's most dreadful aspect is because they are similar to us, just like how we try to clear a stage multiple times until we got the right strategy, they adapt to us until they can beat us

I love the abyssal hunter side stories so much. The OSTs are some of my favourites and the overall theme and aesthetic of them is personally my favourite in the game.
