The carts is about empathy. Case in point is when Simon was asked if he'd think differently if a cart scratched his car. All of a sudden, not putting your cart away might be a problem for him. Same for parking at the entrance or tossing your garbage down the mountain

Resident Cart Attendant here, please return your carts to the corrals or the store. Loose carts are a hazard, I've seen them cause injuries and property damage that most wouldn't consider even possible. Also those corrals are designed to facilitate the collection process saving everyone involved time and money. In short don't be like Simon, the chaos he's wrought unto the world can scarcely be comprehended.

Relating to Neebs’s comment about opening boxes in department stores and not putting stuff back the way it was, I had a similar experience working in a lumber yard when I was younger. Every day people would walk in, sort through a pallet of lumber for the 1 “perfect” board at the bottom, and leave the rest of the boards scattered on the ground. The reason everything is stacked flat and tidy when you go to a lumberyard is that there’s an underpaid and overworked high schooler constantly going around and restacking the messes left by lazy customers.

In Germany, as well as here in the US for Aldi stores, you have to put a coin in the shopping cart in order to use it. You get the coin back when you return it. This encourages people to return the carts.

I have both Island and SE maps up for 5-10 regular players with no issues. Do what stores in the UK does, there is one called Aldi here in the states that does it, you have to use a quarter to get a cart. And when your done you hook it back up and get your quarter back. That is a good system, and people will help others who forgot a quarter. This is they way.

As a property manager for a shopping center with a 4,000,000 square foot parking lot here’s my 2 cents on the shopping cart situation. If the cart corral is right there, put it back. However Appsro is exaggerating how they’re “always right there”, they’re not. If it’s a blow out sale weekend and you’re parked on the outskirts of the lot the nearest cart corral might be out of sight of your car and therefor your kids in your car, I don’t blame you for not taking the cart back in that scenario because to Simon’s point there are people who’s job it is to corral around the stray carts.

Yeah adding to the dump talk, neebs was saying there needs to be a place added to the dump where people can leave stuff they just don't want but is still usable. When my family and I would go out to Nantucket(island off the coast of cape cod), IDK if there is a trash service out there(I would imagine there is since it's a pretty posh place to live, but a lot of people just take it to the dump themselves. And at the dump there's a seperate building called Take it or Leave it and it's just that. There's tables of just stuff that's still usable but people don't want anymore and they just leave it there and someone else can just grab it if they want it.

There are large parking lots where the cart returns are only located in the front. If you are unlucky enough to have to park far away then the nearest tree island or curb will do. I like to push the carts real hard towards the curbs in these moments to see how much air the carts can get.

NEEBS team, you can easily add the NPC mod to ARK Ascended. They spawn randomly around the map, and they built little villages, and some of their huts have treasure chests in them with valuable resources. Totally worth fighting them for the loot.

Noting in Ark you can basically have portable work benches and chem bench.... Argy>Smithy, and Equus>Chem Bench. Carts: I have poor health but I can't afford to get evaluated to get disability. I take the cart to the cart rack or to the store when I can but there have been a few times I am too exausted. I will park it where it is out of the way if I can. I'm also one of those people that will take the trouble to line the carts up if I'm having a good day and take abandoned carts as our cart for the trip into the store. You don't know what someone is going through, be kind.
