In Jule Styne's book there is a delightful story about writing Winter Wonderland. They were riding in a car together in Hollywood on their way to Fox. Most of the song happened on that ride.

I wonder whether Cahn knew my Dad who born 1905 worked in vaudeville? I think Dad went to City College with Lou Levy.

Gestation time...in the head...for some it`s quick. For others it takes a day or two or a week or three. I too work this way. Gestation and then to the typewriter or the WP or the computer.

I do a great matzoh brei too. But it is disarmingly simple. Yes, one matzoh and one egg. But there`s the rub. What do you do with it? Ah ha! I rarely have tasted good matzoh brei, at least not as good as I make it.
