Arm Swing DC Motor Autogate Problem - Check and Fix!

Our autogate malfunctioned one day and I decided to check and fix myself.
There are many types of autogate systems - the one with locks, lights, and the motor can be DC or AC type. For my case, it is a simple autogate with DC motor arm, and without any locks or lamps.
Most system will have input from a transformer AC. Output of AC 9V, or AC12V that is fed into the board to be rectified and turned into a DC power with high current to drive the motor at its normal speed. The motor can also work with DC voltage direct from the battery, but it will be slow as the battery cannot deliver high current.
The system also has a remote module (usually in a black box with a wire antenna). This module is the one getting signal from the autogate remote.

have to buy new board? cannot fix just the relays?

If you know how to inspect the relays and found that the relay is damaged and you can find the correct relay part, then you can just replace the relay, definitely. From my case, as I see the LED light is not displaying correctly, which may indicate the problem in the control circuit itself (ie, before relays). I don't have schematic for this board and diagnosing it is too complicated for me.
