Hi Coach Nic, one thing I have noticed consistently is at the snap area, pitchers arms are just about straight and in line with the rubber/push leg. Basically shoulder/hand/leg at the time of snap appear to be all lined/stacked up. I was curious if you could elaborate a bit more on this, especially the arm being pretty much straight/or super slight bend at release/snap area just before the follow through. Thanks, Coach! Have learned a ton from your vids.

Arm can be bent at release! Many pitchers can throw great 12-6 fbs with arm bent a little space between hip and hand at release. The pitches where arm/hip/shoulder is all the same time will be ok- but pitches where there is sept- hip, then arm, then shoulders - those will be crisp, late break, and thrown hard everytime. Thats the goal! Those are those little things, when pitchers can figure out why their stuff isn’t great…can sometimes be the sequence!

Is Palm Up a MUST? Or can it be facing 3rd base? I just stumbled on your vids. I've been working with my daughter on the Bill Hillhouse method which is turning an overhand " baseball pitch " upside down. There's no real "brush" action with his method. We are gonna try this method just to see. My daughter is 11 and loves trying different styles.

In my experience, palm up helps create a looser arm whip. If the palm rotates early in the back swing it’s usually a sign the pitcher is too much in their arm.
