Arma 3 - C-5 Galaxy short cargo flight

Skip to 4:00 for final approach. Went for a little cargo flight with one of my favorite cargo planes, this was very difficult as i tried to make a successful landing using (almost) only first person. Furthermore the Takistani mountains make a controlled descend difficult, i had to land at a high speed because the mountains did not allow me to descend earlier. Also yeah i did get stuck at the tower at the end, this plane is just too big for Takistani airfields.

when you load cargo do you just put any vehicle near the ramp for it to work?

Yep. Park the vehicle right behind the ramp, then you can select a promp in the scroll menu saying something like "load vehicle".

Well in this vid i almost crashed during the last big turn haha, my right wing came very close to a mountain and i thought i was dead. Flying and especially landing a plane this big is pretty difficult, but the take-off was nasty aswell. If ya don't use the flaps this thing just won't take off no matter how long the runway is xD

You dont put the flaps up after a touchdown and turn the engine off. God that one hurt.

The mod used for this video is the 2015 USAF mod by SGT Fuller. Unfortunately this mod is now obsolete, and apparently cannot be downloaded on both armaholic and the BI pages anymore due to " constant mishandling by users". here's the link to the BI page so you can see for yourself : forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/180829-united-states-air-force-2015/ . Luckily an updated version of the mod is in the works and available on both BI and steam: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1900726770 . I myself have not tested the new version of the mod yet, so i don't know if the C-5 is in there, but if it isnt't it will likely be added sooner or later. @@setsu2172 wait on the steam link you posted, does it have the C5 galaxy?

@@immortal-c4b I am honestly not sure. If it is there, it's most likely included in the utility pack of the mod. I just checked the comments and discussion page of the mod pack, and i could find 2 ppl saying there's no C-5 included in the mod. those comments are both over 6 months old though, so maybe they have released an update by now. Keep in mind that the mod is still in development, so they may include the C-5 in the future. What's interesting aswell is that the USAF mod i used in this video has disappeared from my mod list a few months ago, so i'm unable to use the C-5 anymore. I did not delete it for sure, so clearly the creator of the mod doesn't want people to play his version of the mod anymore.

@@setsu2172 yeah I have tried the USAF mod plenty of times like even the USAF fighters mod which kinda sucks but none of them include the C5.

@@immortal-c4b I might try out the USAF mods that are available on Steam soon, to see how they are. But yeah for now all we can do is wait for updates from the devs i suppose. It is kinda weird that the C-5 seemingly isn't available anywhere, all i know is that the creator stopped making his mod available for download due to "constant mishandling by users", whatever that means.
