In my opinion the AMS (Khaki) ist the best scope in the Game (im not that little thermal or nightstalker noob.) Its great die cqc and its great for distances like 1.6-2.6km. On over 2 km you need very good Aim bot its just a Thing you learn while playing the Game.

The day i play the Lynx Apds free, i know what to do!, works even better then a missile launcher, for now im still laying in the hills at a distance about 1.5 clicks away with the m320 lrr being patient.....very patient like a sniper should be and because im crap in close combat 😜

+pro tip: slap a ams scope on the lynx apds and go shoot helis with the reddot and disable the comander guns of tanks or even disable the turret by shooting in the conection point of the turret and the body of the tank this doesnt show up as damage if you are inside the tank but you still cand turn your turret anymore and if you cant hit that spot just spam the tracks of the tank :)

You need more lead on your shots. When you hit the heli you only just hit the tail. Lead more and you’d hit the main engine guaranteeing a crash b/c pilots in this game aren’t good. If you hit the tail and a kinda good pilot is in control, there’s a good chance they can save it.

VanZor Rox yeah I know what you mean, always get pilot if you can. I always lead, stop and click twice; first shot aimed at the pilot, and the second one for the engine or main rotor. At least one shot will hit (especially with my aim, I have an embarrassing amount of hours on koth)

Can you pull off all this with the standard, non-APDS ammo version? Saw this video and gave it a try, but little success. Basically managed to only de-wheel a car which then veered off road and unintentionally ran me over... Went straight back to my usual DMR business after that :D

The only thing I do differently is use the ERCO optic. Costs a bit more to perma buy but it's one of the most versatile scopes in the game and has an inbuilt optical ranging device right in the reticle. (The horizontal lines match the width of a target's shoulders at the corresponding distance.) And it's still got the red dot for those close to mi range vehicle kills.

The AMS is exactly how I use it. The 200m basic sight is great for close up action, the 300m+ sight for hitting distant towers/high up choppers. Works a dream.

One issue. You get this gun at level 50. you gotta wait til you get a decent scope. All in all, at the point you can start making money you had to invest huge amounts of money in it. Also by being lvl 50 you should have some cash. MANPAD or just my 3 gl with RPG and satchel is probably still more reliable / consistent for new people

And it's not accurate but still good for medium distance since the shots flies that fast. Wallbanging people out of the tower from 600 m is totally fine. Even for long range sniping, you have the fast-bullet-advantage. And when it comes to extreme distances (2.5km +) it's pretty much superior to the more accurate, but slower flying M320 bullet

Yo Predalmond, I have AMO, Fatigue and Marksman - in some clips I switched to the Specialist uniform (by accident) which gives you a little more mobility.

this rifle isnt inaccurate on distances. like.... i saw 3km shots or me doing 2km shots from a heli bench. Also as a lynx player in the zone you need assistance around you to survive, cause if you play good you become target nr1. in addition this rifle has the fastest bullet travel time afaik travelling 1km in like 1.xx seconds. (i play this weapon since i can buy it with khalia or mrco depending on the distance) what was not mentioned is that if you are going to shoot a Ghosthawk. the easieast target is its tail rotor. So try to hit the pilot or a gunner 2-3 times and if you want it immediatly going down or be gone you hit its tail)

In RL the rifle isn't that accurate, but like I said in ARMA it's a bit of a laser...and yeah you can snipe with it but 1-2km snipes are uber rare in RL cos just not that possible to do and what you might not know is that for long range snipes some of the kills are recorded for the 9th round fired...at 3km that's a 30" group so pur luck IMHO.

Hi Henry, cos the 12.7mm flies pretty flat so the centre dot is on point all the time whereas with the ARCO it's calibrated to 200m it's also very fast to aim with the Holo and the reference points allow me to lead paratroopers and vehicles more easily ;-)

Don't perma buy guns...not worth it, you need to be lvl 50 to unlock APDS Lynx - make sure you have 3rd perk that's the most important purchase ;-)

Sounds like some not so subtle propaganda to get snipers to stop shooting at you when you are running around the edge of the map camping people coming in. So you wouldn't get pissed off then have to go drive out there and hunt them down, interrupting your game. ;-) I pretty much laugh at the "urban snipers" running with a Lynx near the zone. That bitch is so loud it draws everyone on that side of the map straight to you. Killing vehicles is fun though.

Yeah, I pretty much play for the scoreboard now. I own most of the guns and some in all the colors and still have over $4M in the bank. Nothing else to play for. They used to not give you points for people that died in chopper crashes, but it was still fun to take out a full load even when you only got credit for the pilot. You always knew there were a bunch of kids whining on side chat over there telling the pilot he sucked and never to fly again.

This is absolute bullshit. This video is made from like 2 months of gameplay, I tried recreating this in Editor, downing a heli either requires one perfect shot into the back rotor, 2 shots into main rotor or 1 shot at the driver. Even with my setup, I didnt managed to down a helicopter effectively. And its even harder in KOTH because of better pilots, and laggy servers which make exact shots near to impossible.. So kids dont run with 80k into the zone, and try to pull of multi kills.

I've always used the Lynx APDS with the AMS scope in the AO. It really kicks ass. I suggest you keep trying and learning. Even just hitting a heli can reap the rewards in assists. Map positioning is important for this tactic. Surround yourself with friendlies, and work with them. Oh and don't forget, there are two replica Lynx 12.7mm in the weapons list; you need to buy the one at the very bottom when you reach Level 50. I believe it's 100k to buy.
