buy me a head tracker! I think 3rd person makes for better video, or at least less nauseating. I do like the 1 person ground rush but I get "Bat-Man neck syndrome" when in cockpit ... i.e. it takes effort to look around.

Well, TrackIR is the answer and no, I dont gonna Buy it for you :p It makes flying in cockpits imersive, but also in combat on the ground ...even on 3P Server I play in first person, TrackIR is making it possible. I love it. I dont want to say anything bad about your skills, but 3P is for beginners, the easy mode. Even if your flying skills are awesome, the real chalange is 1P and the game is made to be "hardcore" and that is what I want to see.

Flying in 1st person is not that much harded, it has its own challenges but so does 3rd person. In some cases 1st person is even easier

Agreed. First is certainly easier for flying low and avoiding obstacles, 3rd is easier for landing. Third makes for better video in my opinion.

Well, the landings are the hardest part and I dont see any challange by playing in 3rd Person ...so for me, the Videos are nice, but boring. But that is just my oppinion.

I've got 17 hours played in this game and thanks to Misconduct I'm now a better pilot, I did this by just watching your vids. Most of my team in KOTH consider me the best pilot, I fly low, fast and I land pretty decently, still need to practice more.

I think you misinterpret it a bit. The main rotor is not damaged. The orange light is going on and off when it's got slowed down. when you take off/get away from the obstacle the rotor doesn't get slowed down any more so the light goes off.

Is there some easy keypress for me to do as an intermediate pilot that allows me to pull off relatively quick landings? I either spin, start slowing down, miss my landing zone, gain too much altitude, smash right into the ground, or not lose enough speed before being forced to leave the zone desired to land in and try to land elsewhere. I can lift up from a distance and do a clean touchdown, and I was also told to turn the chopper sideways while lifting up, I only managed to do one flawless landing and the rest were pretty messy and a ton of them ended in a straight up crash. Idk what to do.

rat I probably won't do a good job but basically for spiral combat landing press z, and s then at the same time as your pressing those keys press the e key if your pulling right, or the q key for left. Come in low when you pass your landing sight have it to the side you intend to pull towards then turn the helicopter to the left or right and press the 3 keys at once, it takes a little getting used to, and you should roughly land where you want to. This turn will take you from cruising speed to 30 kmph by the time your turned around. This isn't the best explanation, but I hope it helps.

rat the thing with combat landings also is that you landing sight is determined on the fly, you choose a rough area to land then make adjustments as you come out of the breaking turn

Well, it's your collective the default? Because an analogue collective seems so much easier.

Took a while, 3 years of mostly KOTH piloting. But looking back I would do this: Go on editor, create a hummingbird and turn off damage in attributes, turn off damage to my character, fly like crazy for a whole day, landing a lot. Exponential learning curve.

I can do the same things as you with the hummingbird the differences being I use a joystick and I fly in 1st person. I used to do those things at 10FPS (MacBookPro) but now I have a gaming laptop and it's like having a autoland feature. Mt steam is David the Pilot. How would you recommend practicing landing? Also would you recommend autohover to start off, or just start off using no autohover

Disable autohover forever, its always a scroll wheel option if you like but get used to balancing the chopper without it, after no time youll feel comfy. I suggest using the editor, make heli, turn off damage to heli and yourself and fly like a maniac until you want to turn damage back on!

They get over it, or they should, bad stuff happens in war. Keep flying regardless of what they say, and go based on timing more than full choppers - it helps when trying to make up for a perceived fault.
