An interesting note about the RPG-42 that wasn't touched on; It has an anachronistic rangefinder in the sight. It's not 100% accurate, since it's not a laser-rangefinder (like the MK. 1 MAAWS), but basically, if a target fits lengthwise (so, from the side) between the vertical pieces of each marking, the vehicle is **roughly** that far away. Using it at ranges longer than 500m is more of a memory game regarding the imperfections present in the scope as your markers.

The MAAWS is NOT a rocket launcher! It's a recoilless rifle. Meaning that it does not fire rocked propelled ammunition, but conventional but recoilless cartridge and projectile ammunition. The ammunition consists of a cartridge case filled with a propellant and a projectile or shell. The only difference between it and a standard rifle cartridge or standard fixed cannon/howitzer is that it has a hollow base sealed with a combustable baseplate. It's rifred like any other conventional cartridge ammunition: when you pull the trigger a striker pin hits the primer, which in turn will ignite the propellant charge. The cumbastable baseplate burns up or is blown out and part of the preasure and gas exit the back of the cartridge case while the rest propells the projectile or shell forward in a conventional way.

are there any launchers that a friend could lase like for example a house and that i could lock onto that lase and fire? and if so how would i choose to lock on that lase?

The thing is in random sort of environment inside a city like in koth maaws is by far the best but in most cases that should not happen. Helicopters tanks and other vehicles should never get close enough to infantry to allow you to hit them with unguided weapons. Currently vorona is by far the best launcher since it needs the least shots and does not give a lock on warning and it can hit even small parts of vehicles like the gun turrets on mraps sticking over fences. Also fun fact you dont need a gun if you have a launcher in this game since you can just point even the at at enemies and easily oneshot them.

Indeed. The Vorona would normally be the better launcher, especially if you have access to the anti tank ammo.

It is noteworthy to know that the PCML can lock onto landing heli’s, they must be going below 127km/s and below 30m... on KOTH if used overlooking a spot where enemy heli’s are known the be landing... preferably on a hill overlooking the AO... can be used as AA against landing heli’s from up to 800m... a situational use for sure, but if the enemy team has no spawn vic, it can be used to repeatedly shoot down heli’s but can be hit or miss. i know this video is ancient but i can't get the titan mprl (not compact) to lock on past 500m. anyone else experiencing this? you are clearly locking on from more than that in this video

idk if its just weird Arma logic or errors in the Video, but some stuff sounds wrong to me. stuff like the RPG-7 use Shaped Charges not EFPs something common that uses EFPs is the TOW-2B Also idk what is ment with laser wire guidiance, the wording itself make no sense for me. makes also no sense to use Both systems on the same launcher, would make it much havier. From the Looks its more like Beamriding. Slat Armor is also kinda designed to defeat HEAT rockets, like the RPG-7 If im wrong im sorry, i dont play much arma, the video just poped up in my Recommendations.

Hey bud. thanks for watching. :) I got a lot of the technical info from the Armed Assault Wiki, but yeah, some of the info could be incorrect. They're pretty good on there for accuracy normally as far as I know though. I don't know how close these are to how the real launchers work, but some changes have probably been done to keep some of the launchers more usable in game, like having more than 1 fire mode on the same launchers for example. The Laser wire guidance system is where your launcher has a built in laser guidance so your crosshair acts as your guidance system. You see me guiding the missile on the Vorona and Titan compact a bit in the video, but I should have demonstrated that better. The rocket just tries to go to where you're pointing your crosshair and you can do things like change to a different target while the rocket is still airborne, especially with the Vorona as the missile fly slower.

the Vorona is what i would say is beamriding, would guess so from the way the missile flies. but god knows how arma simulates it. also having wire guidiance and Laser guidiance on the same launcher makes no sense IRL, adds way to much weight and wire guidiance has the downside of the wires can get snaged by the enviroment and potentially snap.

Hello, what is the key on the keyboard for the search ( lockon ) for the Titan MPRL COMPACT ? I don't have a lockon. I can not find the key. Thanks - TAB or T dont work

​@@Luke9K thx. Yes it is the T Key, but it only works when the engine frome the vehicle is running. The Search Mode looks for heat.When the Engine ist off, it dont work.

If you use vanilla controls you can’t lock a target as the controls are wrong
