Hey guys, Today we are going to find out, what are the top best 5 Assault rifles in Arma 3. Mainly aim toward Vanilla and exile Arma 3.

Nice try but there's some problems. 1) mxm and spar 17's are dmr's, not assault rifles 2) you're only taking damage in the chest in mind, you're very often hit other places ibstead but this does give us a general idea. 3) attachments are important to take into consideration as some weapons cant use some attachments. 4) What about range, accuracy and weight? All are important stats as well.

mxm is usually in sniper category on exile and koth servers whereas the spar17 is in the assault rifle category. the ballistic performance of mxm, mx, mxc, and mxsw are all the same at that range. and yes he was giving a general idea. hits to unarmored arms and legs does straight HP points. but most players aim center of mass

Also Rate of fire and recoil should be considered, what I saw is that the Car 95 has onr shot less on its 5.8 than the 5.56 but shares very similar characteristics in recoil and rate of fire to the 5.56 rifles. I am not sure about the rate of fire exactly but from my experience it is indeed very similar. As most people shoot full auto at the range he tested this could be a major factor

This is lacking the tests for the other factors that make a good assault rifle; effective range, RPM, penetration, mobility etc

@@Seth9809 Every single aspect of the gun / ammo is available through the Config Viewer and it doesn't require 3rd party mods. For example I made script to quick check most important information about the current gun: 1. class 2. dispersion for FullAuto mode 3. dispersion for Single mode 4. recoil pattern for FullAuto 5. recoil pattern for Single 6. recoil kickback force 7. weapon init speed (overrided value) 8. weight 9. is packable into backpack 10. magazines list and for the magazine / ammo 1. class 2. ammo count 3. hit damage 4. indirect hit damage 5. indirect hit range 6. caliber 7. magazine init speed 8. air friction 9. weight and some precalculated penetration capabilities based on this formula: P = (V * T * C) / 1000 P - penetration in mm V - velocity T - thickness of material C - caliber The author of the video provided almost zero information about all of these parameters but only shooting around like it's Call of Duty or some similar trash shooter. His video is completely pointless.

The range of fire also affects the damage. Also, you should research into other factors such as rate of fire and analyze them under different scenarios of battle, such as CQB or medium range or long range.

technically the spar 17 is a battle rifle / DMR so the M-14, mk-18 and MK-1 should also be included

There is no such thing as "the best vest" in ArmA 3 - it depends on the role you're playing. Generally speaking the most versatile vest is the carrier rig, but there are many from which to chose.

I prefer the Ga Carrier GL, because it has best load/protection ratio, then again I mostly play epoch with stamina disabled running around with a Navid

It depends on the game mode you're playing. For example Ga Carrier GL rig is best overall, for games like Epoch, when stamina is disabled

In Wasteland, the Carrier Special Rig is the best for ballistic protection whereas the Carrier GL Rig is the best for explosive protection.

When using a spar, you're not using it for its power. You use it because the S variant has 100 rounds drum magazines that can go full auto with little to no recoil

Spar-17 is DMR so I wouldn't count it in here because it's more like marksman rifle besides 7.62 is the only real munition man needs hail the power hail the cold iron & warm blood hail the 7.62 baby!

Doesn't cover recoil, accuracy or bullet velocity/drop. Not exactly the most comprehensive guide if it only covers how much damage it all does. Damage is not the only factor of what makes a weapon the best of all. If it was, then the GM6 Lynx would flat out be the best gun in the entire game. Cover recoil and firing rate at the very least.

First of all, thanks for the video and show us how everyone can test it on his own in the editor... BUT, it seems that you have a low level of knowlege of the Arma weapons, armor and ammonition. Balistics are a important thing in arma, so every ammotype will behave different over distances, fly faster or in a more flat way etc. That means that this testing will tell no one the real deal with the weapons! Damage can be checked at every mag, you often got the ammo count of the mags wrong (SDAR can use 20 Dual purpose and 30 normal 5.56, Spar 5.56 can also use 150mags etc.) To summ it up: get more knowlege about the arma weapons, ammo and put more thoughts about how to test them into your vids! Than I will watch again ;-P

FIDE AK12 is dead, no longer in state competition... AK74m3 is one out of the two competitors for the ratnik program which is made by Kalashnikov concern, the other is the A545 made by the degtyaryov plant... you sure know alot about your guns...

Risto Mladich I was under the impression that the AK12 was still in the competition and that they dropped the AEK971 due to complexity in production. The most practical choice would've obviously been the AK74M3 since it's just a modernization package for the Ak74M.

iKonds It was the weapon of choice, alongside the 7.62x51 guns, before the AKM and AK-12 were added. It’s still pretty good, but the MXGL sees more use today due to the 3GL and the fact that the katiba is now outclassed in dps by the AK12 and M. Still a solid choice tho.

type 115 has .50 that can remain accurate up to 300m and one shot any target. No other AR can do this and has 6.5mm for eratic cqc prefires.

DMG in Arma has nothing to do with the weapon! It is the ammunition that has actual dmg values. I appreciate your effort made with this video but to be honest...get some ingame knowledge. This is not COD or Battlefield. Ballistics are actually quiet complicated.
