One of my favourite Creators DLC, I bought it this January and I was fascinated by it's content. I am really having fun making my own missions with their arsenal in Tanoa, played a few scenarios from the workshop in the Sefrou-Ramadi terrain but didn't try it at all yet. Nice video mate!

I'd call WS canon, because in the start of the Old Man scenario, Santiago is shown deployed to Argana in 2000 with the French Foreign Legion. Perhaps the UNA is meant to be the FFL? Their camo pattern looks like a mix of Desert Tigerstripe and the french Camouflage Daguet.

Would make sense, but it seems a bit odd the equipment they are using. I think the devs really just meant for them to be a nondescript generic UN faction, and we the fans just like to read into stuff.

Pretty sure it’s illegal to use the “UN” symbol same as the Red Cross hence why Arma uses a red Diamond on medivac platforms. So “UNA” is just the equivalent of that red Diamond. That being said I do think it’s cool that they tied it in with the Old Man story. If you download the Aegis mod (and it’s expansion can’t remember the name) You get the FFL as a faction. The Sage uniform they wear has always been in the game files it was originally supposed to be a NATO variant

@@jackncoke8527 But the Red Diamond is an official symbol of the Red Cross. They have 4 symbols, the famous Red Cross, used by subsidiaries of the organization in christian countries, the Red Crest, used in most muslim countries, the Red Lion and Sun used in Iran, and the Red Crystal used in countries of different religious affiliations such as Israel, and they also officially recognize the national israeli Magen David Adom (a red star of David symbol) as a protection symbol. I have no idea how ArmA 3 gets away with using the Red Crystal despite it being an oficial Red Cross protection symbol

real nice video. I didn't know that the UNA was from an unspecified nation. Just tought they were from South Africa because of the guns they use (R4, Modified Galat).
@95percentrookie2 жыл бұрын
Well they could be from South Africa, but the mod devs didn't say. They do indeed use south african guns, however the guns would be quite outdated to be still using them in 2036, and they speak french and use a camo pattern pretty unlike what south africa uses now. I personally think they are from another fictional Armaverse nation, but we'll probably never know.

The only country I could think of in Africa that is developed enough to provide support to a “UNA” mission and speaks French is Morocco (Although French isn’t the primary language it’s probably easier to find a voice actor for than Arabic) of course the issue you run into there is that Morocco claims a large portion of W. Sahara (I was there as a US Marine and briefed as to not bring up why their map looked so different than our map of Morocco) so they couldn’t really be a neutral 3rd party.

the tura are unironicaly nasty oppononents due to the weapons they use , mainly the slr and the pkm both of which cause the ai to engage from long range with terrific accuracy due to the very nature of said guns

i really love the assets introduce in this CDLC, it's a shame the assets require me to activate the CDLC. When it could've been like the contact CDLC where the assets are available in Vanilla

Love this DLC. Big fan of Ion Services, they aren't really utilized that much in ArmA 3.
