Thank you for the video, I love it when fans make such nice comprehensive videos putting things in perspective! The medical system is getting closer to what I want, which is a simple system that requires observation, pointed action and NO menu system. Example: In short you hear and see a person down with a bloody leg, you quick select (number key) your tourniquet (or point and use to grab his). To stop the bleeding(depicted by a growing blood stain) , point the tourniquet at the bleeding limb and press use apply and see your character perform the animation. Then press another number to get the adrenaline out and apply that to allow the downed soldier to allow him to function as normal with a no sprint penalty. I think blood and bloodloss is a nice count down timer to motivate players to apply field medicine. In addition I love to see limps flying caused by high calibre projectiles and explosions. Loosing a limb would kill you in 5 seconds, staying alive just long enough to see your own limbs fly and land, adding to the drama. Also I love to see a tripping mechanic. Falling and rolling when being hit in the legs. Being hit should have a big feedback, like a big flinch, but the damage should be less then realistic so it's worth to continue the fight and not instantly give up. The 'flinch' should instantly tell the player where he's hit and from which direction. Finally I want hit and downed soldiers to scream and cry for help creating more drama. In general systems should be simple, intuitive and without menu screens. The inventory screen is good to create a nice setup, but one should not need to open it in a combat situation.

To me its coming along just fine. We get to play a demo that develops into the game we want. People have to remeber all of this will be the base for ARMA 4 so its on the right track and runs smoothly. Arma is going to do it right its may not be fast but it will be right.

Yes. So many fans just want it all at once. But the foundation has to be built properly so it can handle all the new building blocks in the future

Does anybody remember ArmA 3 launch. You could try it in Alpha.. the leaps that Arma 3 has made from 2013 to 2022 is amazing.. people need to realize that because the “new” way to promote games is this beta-testing logic. Someone always has something negative to say. That’s disappointing. A creditable game studio that has been serving exactly what they say, now get backlash for a new ArmA. I blame the game industry as a whole.. this game is great I have a 45 min video on conflict with some very intense moments. Nobody can be content with gaming anymore 😢

I have played conflict and the moments have been amazing and I've been waiting for arland. They even ask for suggestions in Reforger so voice your opinions.Bohemia is at least working with the community on top of that.

Awesome rundown of the new update, Ceb! The visuals were especially impressive, as always. I'm glad they added Combat Ops because I tried to make my own DRO style mod and I wasn't able to figure it out. Hopefully I'll be able to use the new game mode as a base to make what I wanted!

More mods will come when the player-base returns to it. The bad launch gave many a sour taste. But with more QOL updates and content it will slowly build up with more mods.

Great video Ceb and yes we needed a smaller infantry based map like Arland and I think releasing the Ground Support update in smaller sized updates is much better for the player instead of trying to learn too many new features etc I will definitely be checking this update out. Also Combat Ops sounds like fun 👀

It will be up to modders. We are only getting a few more light armored vehicles. We will be getting tanker uniforms though.

The challenge is the real time simulation of tracks. Someone would have to actually make it themselves and not rely on what BI made before.

I love the game and wish more people played it. The crashes don't bother me because I have been waiting for Arma to come to consoles and I finally get to play it. I can't wait for them to add more vehicles to play with as well.

Many of the assets for both Arma Platform and Dayz is inspired and gathered from the dev team in the surrounding area in the Czech Republic. The building type is very common in eastern europe

Yes and no. Being able to open individual pockets allowed you to maximize your inventory. Now the items are randomly placed in those same pockets, but you can't access them. This makes it so that sometimes you'll have available inventory that you can't fit stuff in. That said, it is quicker to use.

It is a good map for ground warfare. In vanilla we only have ground support as it is. We need some vanilla boats and a nice river way to patrol.

People don't understand that Reforger isn't supposed to be Arma 3 level of big. Reforger is basically just a foundation and a showcase for what Arma 4 is being built on.

Honestly, I don't think so. They are working on making it easier to use the workbench tools for this, but its not really the same. It will most likely be Arma 4.

AI can drive, its just you gotta control a soldier and sit in the drivers seat. Go in game master and then set an order and it should drive.... Just not very well... sense of direction is...well Shit.

Most of those issues are gone. But some are claiming it with modded servers that are inherently unstable. Unmodded should be fine.

​@@oaomai I am not recommending the game in that state for now but there are many full servers top chose from to have a game , had a cool experience with reforger Yesterday , this game is full of potential. Hundreds of players for now , crossplatform , not a huge number tho.

A lot of work is going into it currently. Building the behavior from the ground up takes time, but eventually we will see a lot smarter AI
