I understand that it is a citrus fragrance and has an aqua feel.. in some fragrances the composition and the aqua feel is so different and fresh that you have to give the perfumer some credit... everything is not about the perfume lasting 12-24 hrs simply make it oriental and it will last long.. some compositions should be appreciated for the freshness vibe they create.. one such example is Lacoste 12.12 blanc

Doesn't last very long. I'm luck if I get an hour and it's barely a skin scent.

Yeah like most colognes.MOST colognes don't last past an hour, they are all gimmicks.
