I believe you're in a great situation to point your brothers and sisters back toward Christ and the only prophecy that ultimately matters: He is coming again! We have a tremendous opportunity right now to remind the world and our local churches that Christ is the fulfillment of ALL God's promises and that God's presence is no longer attached to the land - God's presence is dwells in His church, meaning His people! Part 1/2 I am so sorry that you trust James White and Voddie Bacham as teachers. I want to be careful about what I say and not be hyperbolic and call him a" false teacher" since that term is tossed around too easily these days. However, Voddie is one that I would flee from quickly. It's one thing to be wrong, but to me Voddie blatantly ignores biblical truth for an ideology. The fact that he seems Israel as a geopolitical country tells me he doesn't have a clue about the topic. The premise of James and Voddie's view is first criticize the failures of modern Christians. Which is fine, but they never deal with ancient Christian writings on the topic nor do they ever deal with actual Scripture. It's easy to poke holes at dispensationalists in the 90's about the Antichrist, or the 7 year Tribulation, or the Rapture, or Israel because they believe the lie that these ideas were invented only a few hundred years ago. Now the concepts may be wrong but they are not a few hundred years old. Hippolytus (170-235AD): On the End of the World A Discourse by the Most Blessed Hippolytus, Bishop and Martyr, on the End of the World, and on Antichrist, and on the Second Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ. "...And after that he (Antichrist) will build the temple in Jerusalem (notice a literal building), and will restore it again speedily, and give it over to the Jews. And then he will be lifted up in heart against every man; yea, he will speak blasphemy also against God, thinking in his deceit that he shall be king upon the earth hereafter forever; not knowing, miserable wretch, that his kingdom is to be quickly brought to naught, and that he will quickly have to meet the fire which is prepared for him, along with all who trust him and serve him. And if any man will hurt them, fire will proceed out of their mouth, and devour their enemies; and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy; and have power over waters, to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues as often as they will.” Revelation 11:4-6 And when they shall have finished their course and their testimony, what does the prophet say? “the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them,” Revelation 11:7 because they will not give glory to Antichrist. For this is meant by the little horn that grows up. He, being now elated in heart, begins to exalt himself, and to glorify himself as God, persecuting the saints and blaspheming Christ, even as Daniel says, “I considered the horns, and, behold, in the horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things; and he opened his mouth to blaspheme God. And that born made war against the saints, and prevailed against them until the beast was slain, and perished, and his body was given to be burned.” Daniel 7:8 Irenaeus (about 180 AD) wrote his 5 volume work called “Against Heresies” “In 2 Thessalonians, the ‘falling away’ is an apostasy and there will be a literal rebuilt temple. In Matthew, the ‘abomination spoken by Daniel’ is the Antichrist sitting in the temple as if he were Christ. The abomination will start in the middle of Daniel’s 70th week and last for a literal three years and six months. The little horn is the Antichrist. Against Heresies 5.25 Barnabas - (First Century) “You can perceive that their hope is vain. Furthermore, the Lord said, ‘Behold, they who destroy this temple, even they will again build it up once more.’ This prophecy was fulfilled because the Jews went to war against their enemy. But even though they are now no more than servants to Rome, they will return and rebuild the temple. It was revealed that the city of Jerusalem, the temple, and the people of Israel were to be given up.” Epistle of Barnabas 16:5-7 And there are many more writings. Now it's easy for Christians to criticize each other especially when we're trying to understand how Scripture which was written by men in their words 2000-3500 years ago about our day today. And yes it is about our time now. I can show you about a half a dozen passages from Scripture that show exactly our time. We have document in the Dead Sea scrolls which were before Jesus of how Believers saw the framework of Scripture. Barnabas, AD First Century “Therefore, children, in six days, or in six thousand years, all the prophecies will be fulfilled. Then it says, ‘He rested on the seventh day.’ This signifies at the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus, He will destroy the Antichrist, judge the ungodly, and change the sun, moon, and stars. Then He will truly rest during the Millennial reign, which is the seventh day.” Epistle of Barnabas 15:7-9 Irenaeus 180 AD For in as many days as this world was made, in so many thousand years shall it be concluded. And for this reason the Scripture says: "Thus the heaven and the earth were finished, and all their adornment. And God brought to a conclusion upon the sixth day the works that He had made; and God rested upon the seventh day from all His works."(6) This is an account of the things formerly created, as also it is a prophecy of what is to come. For the day of the Lord is as a thousand years;(7) and in six days created things were completed: it is evident, therefore, that they will come to an end at the sixth thousand year. Against Heresies 5:28 Commodianus, AD 240 “We will be immortal when the six thousand years are completed.” Against the Gods of the Heathens 35 “Resurrection of the body will be when six thousand years are completed, and after the one thousand years, the world will come to an end.” Against the Gods of the Heathens 80 Methodius, AD 290 “In the seventh millennium we will be immortal and truly celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.” Ten Virgins 9.1 Victorinus, AD 240 “Satan will be bound until the thousand years are finished; that is, after the sixth day.” Commentary on Revelation 20.1-3 Justin Martyr (100-165AD) “There will be a literal one-thousand-year reign of Christ.” Justin Martyr, Dialogue 81 Papius First Century (60AD-130AD) “I was taught by the Apostle John, himself, that after the resurrection of the dead, Jesus will personally reign for one thousand years.” Papias, Fragment 6 GOD isn't just telling us events in advance, He tells us when and in what order events will unfold. We see the biblical timeline in Scripture. Adam year 930, Abraham 2000, King David year 3000 (970BC) + 1000 years is year 4000 or about 30AD (Jesus died 32AD) + 2000 years is 2032. Now some Christians debate whether year 4000 was 70AD which means the window we have is 2032-2070AD and we are supposed to watch the signs. (Continued in part 2)

Part 2/2 The problem with Voddie's logic is that he assumes GOD isn't GOD. That His Word is fleeting, and shaken by what we do. Israel isn't about the Jews, it's about GOD. GOD owns the land of Israel and the city of Jerusalem. He always has and always will. We see that He chose the land as His own and gave the other nations to the fallen angels Genesis 10-11, Deut 32. Even when the Israelites entered the Land the LORD still said it was His (Lev 25:23) Genesis 15:18 On the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying: “To your descendants, I have given this land,..." (Ownership) Leviticus 25:1-2 And the Lord spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying, 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land which I give you,..." (Ownership) Verse 23 ‘The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine; for you are strangers and sojourners with Me." ("The land is Mine"- Ownership) The word "Sojourners" means guest, visitor, someone who has no claim of ownership. 2 Chronicles 6:5-6 5 ‘Since the day that I brought My people out of the land of Egypt, I have chosen no city from any tribe of Israel in which to build a house, that My name might be there, nor did I choose any man to be a ruler over My people Israel. 6 Yet I have chosen Jerusalem, that My name may be there, and I have chosen David to be over My people Israel.’ (My Name may be there"- Ownership) Joel 3:1-2 “For behold, in those days and at that time, When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, 2 I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land. ("My Land"- Ownership) Isaiah 45:3 I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel. 4 For Jacob My servant’s sake, And Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me. 5 I am the Lord, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me," Psalm 121:4 Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. In Isaiah 45:3 the LORD says "3 "I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel." Honestly if you're getting tripped up in Genesis - Deuteronomy, you're going to struggle preaching on these topics. In Ezekiel 37 the LORD says 21 “Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; 22 and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again. 23 They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God. Notice that the LORD says "I will..." #1 I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land #2 I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again" (Has this happened yet? No we still see the land divided. So this has not happened yet because the LORD says " they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again" #3 I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God. Why do we assume that time negates GOD's promises? Isiah wrote about Jesus 700 years in advance, did the amount of time diminish the LORD's Word? No of course not, so why do Bible teachers do that today? Either you believe GOD is a GOD of His Word or you don't. And if something hasn't happened yet then it's our job to figure out as best as we can how He may fulfill it, but to always have faith that He will. "Dispensational Zionism" which seems to be a curse phrase to Voddie, is simply a conclusion based on Scripture. Israel is about GOD's land and City. He's never relinquished His ownership over it. Joel 3:1-2. He has allowed the Jewish people back into His land just as He said He would throughout Scripture. Jeremiah 24, Ezekiel 37-39, Sea 5-6, Mark11, 13, Rev 11, etc, etc. Ezekiel 4 tells us the exact time it'll happen covering 2,483.8 years (or 907,200 days) of history. Right now GOD's land is being threatened by Jihadist extremists to destroy it for the glory of their false god Allah. That is what is going on. And it will escalate and one day Iran, Turkey (also run by an islamic extremist) and Russia will come against Israel to destroy it and on that Day GOD will protect Israel, not because of what they have done but because He is the GOD off Israel, it's His land and His city. (Ezekiel 38). We know this because Ezekiel 38:5 says "Persia" that is Iran. That was the name of Iran to the 70s was Persia since biblical times. So we should expect Iran to attack Israel t where if the LORD doesn't intervene Israel would be destroyed. We know this hasn't happened yet because there is no historical record. the one thing Jesus taught us about Bible prophecy is that it's always literal. Always. Not all of the Bible is literal, but prophecy is and GOD has perfect timing and will tell His people when things will take place. Now calendars are messed up and we may get the timing wrong (when have any of us got the LORD's timing right?) but thee things will be fulfilled. Scripture give us a framework of time that is finite and fixed. In Daniel 9 it tells us the Messiah the Prince would be cut off (suffer the death penalty) in 32AD before the destruction of the 2nd Temple and Jerusalem (70AD). 500 years before Jesus. This meant that it was fixed and had a finite date. Now how it would unfold remained to be seen as Crucifixion didn't exist in Daniel's day but the prophecy was still true. The argument of teachers like Voddie is simply to look at Christians and their views of today and mock them without understanding the Scriptures and writings they originate from. I admit many teachers on both sides do a poor job at times and make wild guesses but the foundation is never really examined. Israel is at the centre of Eschatology because GOD says it is, not because Christians think it is. Zechariah 12:1 The burden of the word of the Lord against Israel. Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: 2 “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. 3 And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. 4 In that day,” says the Lord, “I will strike every horse with confusion, and its rider with madness; I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness... 5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in the Lord of hosts, their God.’ 6 In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a firepan in the woodpile, and like a fiery torch in the sheaves; they shall devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left, but Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place-Jerusalem. 7 “The Lord will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not become greater than that of Judah. 8 In that day the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the Lord before them. 9 It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. We see later on in the chapter the timing of this event 10 “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. 11 In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12 And the land shall mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; 13 the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by themselves; 14 all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves. So Zechariah 12 is post crucifixion. It says that the LORD will defend Jerusalem and destroy the nations that come against it. This was Not 70AD since the LORD allowed the Romans to destroy Jerusalem. So when post crucifixion has this chapter come to pass? It hasn't. Which means it will in the future. Which means Israel and Jerusalem still have a part to play. I hope this helps. Take care.

Praise be to God and Lord Jesus Christ and thank you for posting this truth as there are those (Dispensationalists) who don't understand the difference between believing Jews and the Jews whose father is the devil (as Jesus said in John 8:44) who say they are Jews but belong to the synagogue of Satan (Rev.2:9)&(Rev.3:9) Jesus Christ fulfilled the Abrahamic covenant on the cross and broke down the Jew/Gentile divide (Eph.2:11-22) making us fellow heirs and partakers of the promise (Eph.3:6) and by that same faith of Abraham, Moses and the prophets (Hebrews 11) grafted us into the same tree (Rom.11:16-24) fulfilling the Abrahamic covenant that not only the Jews but Gentiles will be blessed by the SEED of Abraham(Gen.12:1-3) through faith in Jesus Christ (Gal.3:7-9) but anyone who denies the Son Jesus Christ denies the Father (1John2:22-23). Hence "they (the unbelieving Jews) went out from us because none of them were of us" otherwise they would've accepted Him as their Messiah (1John2:18-23). Don't fall prey to that replacement theology that says the Church replaced the Jews and now God has two Brides (the Church and the Jews). Pray for the repentance of the non believing Jews that the hardening of their hearts be reversed. Better yet preach the gospel to your "Jewish brethren" who are awaiting their messiah aka the antichrist although they will very highly reject the gospel (Hint: Stephen was stoned to death by Jews, Paul was stoned almost to death by Jews and was beat and flogged by Jews on numerous occasions before beheaded by the Romans, James (the less) had his brain bashed out by a fullers club while being beat and stoned by Jews at the age of 94, Matthias the replacement for Judas was stoned and had his head severed by Jews, Mark (born of Jewish parents of the tribe of Levi and gave us the gospel) was dragged to pieces by Jews, and don't forget our Lord Jesus Christ...) Don't support either side of atrocities; neither those of the unbelieving Jews who hate Christians nor the Muslims who hate the Christians just as much as unbelieving Jews. True Israel are all those who believe in Jesus Christ (Gal.6:15-16) "Jesus Christ is Lord!" to whom every knee shall bow (Phil.2:10)

Where Voddie is incorrect is that he believes the church has replaced Israel. Read Romans 9-11 God is a Zionist. Read Ezekiel 37-39. I don’t support Jews who turn from Jesus but God will restore Israel when the time comes as Isaiah said if it were not for the remnant Israel would have become like Sodom and Gomorrah. If you really care about the Jews in geopolitical Israel then preach the gospel to them because they're on their way to hell just like everyone else who rejects Jesus Christ. Dispensationalists who believe that the church/bride of Christ is separate "people of God" who will be "raptured" believe in replacement theology. The church/bride of Christ isn't going anywhere until the last person for whom Jesus died repents (whether unbelieving Jew or Gentile) and all nations will turn against the "Spiritual Israel of God"=Christians. When the Bible says every nation will turn against God's people It's talking about every nation turning against Christians (God's Spiritual Israel) not geopolitical nation of Israel who reject Jesus Christ.

It would have been illustrative to include v25: "Romans 11:25. ESV Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in." - which means that Israel is not able to embrace the Gospel for the sake of the Gentiles, referring back to verses 11-12.

And right now, they experience a partial hardening for our sake (Romans 11:25). Although what @johnwilcox6409 & @Samadam2767 say in earlier replies is true, that does not negate Israel's position with God. Israel has been & is continuing to be regathered from the four corners of the Earth, as both Ezekiel & Isaiah prophesied. Further, Jeremiah 31 says that Israel will never stop being a nation: "This is what the Lord says: 36“The descendants of Israel will never stop being a nation. That would happen only if I lost control of the sun, moon, stars, and sea.” 37The Lord says, “I will never reject the descendants of Israel. That would happen only if people could measure the sky above, and learn all the secrets of the earth below. Only then would I reject them for the bad things they have done.” This message is from the Lord." ...and so far as I am aware, God has never lost control of the sun, moon, stars, and sea - never will. Israel is the only nation to ever be dispersed around the globe for almost 2,000 years and then regathered back into their land, just as the Bible said would happen. I love brother Voddie & others who adhere to reformed theology. They are solid Bible teachers otherwise. However, it always struck me as odd that when it came to eschatology, they suddenly veered away from scripture. The answer comes from the Roman belief system, which is amillennial due to Augustine's writings in "The City of God", which in turn were influenced by a man named Tyconius - who like Origen also interpreted Revelation in a symbolic/spiritualized way. In other words, these views come from non-scriptural sources. The reformers were themselves RCC priests, who took the amillennial belief with them, resulting in some of the newly-formed Protestant denominations to follow their lead. Amillenialism in turn leads to the belief that God is done with Israel, and so any mention of benefits to Israel past when He was 'done' with them now apply to the Church. Call it replacement or fulfillment theology, either way, it's unworkable in light of Jer 31:36-37. I came to my end times beliefs not from anything other than a plain reading of scripture. When I hear people espousing other views, what I usually recognize is 1) an over-emphasis on certain passages to support their view, 2) ignoring other passages which conflict with their view, and/or 3) explaining away some passages as symbolic/spiritualized. Some views require Revelation to be written in the AD 60s, which Mark Hitchcock's excellent doctoral dissertation shows cannot be true. As a whole, taken as things that will literally (not figuratively) happen, I see my end times views as well substantiated, though components may be wrong. BTW - We're all great at prophecy - after it's already happened. 😄

That’s great. Demonstrate why you disagree with an argument from God’s Word applied in its proper context. The OT nation of Israel cannot and will not be replaced. I’m sure we agree on that. But anyone who asserts that the modern nation state of Israel is the same entity as OT Israel has to demonstrate from God’s word that “Abraham’s seed” is the modern nation state of Israel. See Galatians 3, particularly v. 16. Israel is fulfilled in Christ and there has only ever been one true faith: see Ephesians 4:3-8, e.g. Therefore, what was once OT Israel’s claim, has been fulfilled in Christ and His church. That is not “replacement” theology. That is “fulfillment” theology. Christian theology. The argument for modern Israel being a sanctified and holy nation is a Talmudic argument that blasphemes Christ. I’m not trying to be a jerk. I appreciate your opinion. But, the land belongs to God, the armies of the world belong to God and when a nation who hates Christ and has defiled the word of God by replacing it with their traditions stand up and claims to be operations under God’s blessing, we are commanded to speak the truth in love. How did you come to conclusion that you have? Did you study the OT (the whole thing) for yourself to get your doctrine? Or were you taught what to believe by your pastor or churches. Because everyone i ask who believes in Dispensationalism had actually never studied the whole bible in context. They just repeat a doctrine that didn't come into the church until Darby and Scofield started teaching it about 150 years ago. Be honest. Because if you had actually studied the whole bible in context you'd find its the church that God has blinded their eyes until the day of affliction Jer 16:19-21 ( hebrew text). You have been led into deception about who is who. Clearly defined in the OT. Gen. 48;19 in hebrew might help you. You must be circumcised of the heart remember. "To WHOMEVER overcomes he will inherit ALL THINGS. I will be his God and he will be MY SON ". Period. Revelation 21:7.
