Grateful to have been part of Armand's early story as A&R Coordinator at X-Mix and label manager for AV8's first six releases. I helped secure many of Armand's early remixes and booked him globally as part of the management team. So good to see both Todd and Armand together. I've known both for years and give them my forever respect and admiration. They're too of the best ever.

TT single handedly brought House Music back to NY. AV is a beast! I love both of their music.

Armand van Helden is one of my favourite producers of all time. Still remember the good old times when TMF and TMF Dance was on Dutch tv.

Both guys are icons in house music... AVH has done his share in other forms of music, but the fact that he still sticks to bare bones house music is great. And leave it to TT to bring out some funky groovin beat that gets people into the house scene... what legends.

Honestly speaking, the two of them are the BEDROCK of house music. They set the stage for everybody else. Especially in NYC.

Only just came across this today. 6 years too late! Todd Terry is a legend. Simon Dunmore and his Touchdown remixes from back in the day on the Cooltempo label, still have many of these. Defected is like a continuation, of the Cooltempo label, releasing a lot of great / classic tracks. Glad Carrie Lucas got a mention too, without her track, Dance With You, there would be no 'U Don't Know Me'...

simon dunmore a legend himself with his famous touchdown mixes from the best era of club music. plus HOUSE LEGENDS todd terry and armannd van helden on the other side. these guys knowin' the real masters@work ---> quincy jones, gamble and huff, jam amd lewis. and it's true that HOUSE is nothin' without the clubs & the audience.

Great interview with one thing missing - microphones on their shirts. The sound quality of the captured discussion is bad. Still thank you for doing it ;)

How you into dance music and don’t give Quincy jones his flowers?? Wow. That’s what happens when you can love something but not fully understand it. I’m a bit surprised at Simon on that one. Anyway good interview, that just kinda threw me for a loop.

I saw David Morales spin in the late 90s here in NYC…..and yeah he only played like 2 of his own records. It was SO disappointing 🥲
