I had KD when i was 4 months old in 1994, sadly i received brain damage too my frontal lobe i had to receive a Hemogloben in the top of my head, as my veins were too small for the doctor's also being born with ADHD my symptoms can seem extremely Autistic/Asperger's, but i have never gotten diagnosed with autism or Asperger's Being in Western Australia, back in 1994, my case was extremely rare , and my mother really has no idea how i got it, i have never met a single person whom has gotten brain damage due to KD while also being born with ADHD, growing up, life was tough and i was constantly bullied due to my learning disorders, which has caused multiple mental health issued combined with everything else, i take things day by day, but even at 28, i struggle with alot

Thank you for the important information and your inspiring work ! the Boy of a friend had the Kawasaki vasculutis disease , when they spent their vacation on Hainan island / China . The 2 year old boy received intravenous Immune Globuline and Aspirin . He had to go to the follow up check up for 6 months , but vessels and heart did not show any complications . I suppose - possible reasons are : vaccinations for babys and children , radioactivity and polluted drinking water , and that children don't get breastfeeded . Greetings from Shanghai ! 👍

I had Kawasaki when I was 8. I had really high fever and my lymph nodes around my neck swelled up. After sometime I also got the rash around my neck and upper body. I was hospitalized for 2 weeks. I had to get my heart checked since they wanted to see if my heart got affected or not. An after effect was joint pain (childhood arthritis). It was a horrible experience. But thankfully I’m fine now :> Edit:grammar and spelling

There are about 5600 cases of Kawasaki each year, with its prevalence holding at 19 cases per 100k children in the USA over the past 20 years. What are the estimates of incidence now? Have they gone up compared to other years?

hello, I am Jeff, I had this disease. It happened to me at age 10 going on 11 in just a few weeks. I had the systems c.r.e.a.m. that you spoke of. I had the high fever for 5 days and could not keep any food or water down. to save my life, My Father took me to the hospital where they gave me a shot of penicillin, where I immediately recovered and got well to go back to 5th Grade. my mother thinks it got awoken in my body from eating snow laced with possibly pesticides. We lived right near a corn field with a huge hill where we would snow sled every year. Edit: the year was 1980-81 December going into January.

Genius, pediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome ( these days kids comes with this syndrome who has or had Covid-19) A lot people confuse it with appendicitis OR acute follicular tonsillitis but it’s Covid. The typical presentation of appendicitis + rash + high grade fever not low , + loss of appetite or vomit / diarrhoea. At last develops ARDS and intense chest pain with infiltration and mostly both lungs involved. Need ICU care and quick PCR, D-Dimers , check oxygen saturation, CBC , chest x-ray , hemoglobin etc

Hi I just went through this with my 3yr old. It's very scary. She was admitted in the hospital and was there 7 days. She ran a fever 5 days or more. Her fever started on the 25th 103 rushed her to the hospital twice in 1 day..they first called it a viral exanthem then said it looked like Kawasaki. then she was rush to the hospital on the 26, they gave her an iV and ran a few tests. Called it erythema multiforme. Well that wasn't it. Took her to her Dr. Her Dr saw her red eyes immediately thought it was pollen. Checked her throat for strep that was negative.she suggested a direct admit to the children's hospital. They thought it was adenovirus, misc, coronavirus..they ran many tests all came back negative including blood work and urine test..all negative. She had all the symptoms of Kawasaki except swollen lymph nodes. She stopped eating, didn't want to walk anymore due to joint pain, she became so weak all she did was sleep. After release she complains about her legs, knees and feet hurt. Taking her to get an x-ray tomorrow. They also did an echo on her and checked her heart for leakage in any vessels or arteries. They gave her an IVIG FOR 12 hrs and off it for 24hrs to see if she'd run a fever. She did so they gave her a 2nd dosage of it and no fever. It's more but feel free to ask any questions. I hope I can help

wow. I was hallucinating every night. My brain kept me awake while dreaming I think. in the real world, I got out of bed and thought I was in a cave, I could feel the cave walls above my head and to the sides of me. I locked myself into the bathroom upstairs where everyone sleeps because I thought Aliens from another planet were after me. My mother had to talk me out of my hallucination. I had a fever of 104 for days. I lost a lot of weight which made me look good, when I went back to school. I am tall guy, 6, 5 right now and 330 lbs. you can imagine my size at 10 going on 11 yrs old. I was the biggest and tallest guy in my class before that. I got real trim and girls too notice. penicillin saved my life. see my comment for reference and more details. thanks for sharing. we are rare people. It took me a lot of courage to talk about this. peace and prosperity to you in your future.
