BDO Trading: Container Trading for Artisan 2/Master 2 Trading (Velia/Heidel)

Been doing this for the last 5 days at a rate of 4-6 cycles a day. At professional10, with 8% from tea, 15% from elixir, 2% from pets, and 15%+10% from clothes, one cycle raises xp by 22%, each cycle taking 20 min. 1 container in each house, 1 alt in velia and another in heidel with hercules gear and tree accessories, 102 slots in velia and around 60 in heidel. Taking all trade items is not the best option since they have different weights. One item that weights 70 lt will not give double the xp of 2 35lt items, so i fill the storage with the lowest weight items first, in velia it's the wine, then medicine and only then the chicken. In heidel i take the 60 flying kits and a couple if the first trade item.

The ammount of EXP from active trading is based on the amount of Profit you make, so bargain is good and distance is good Trash crate gives Flat exp while Acive trading gives a very small flat + %required exp to next lvl based on the trade price

i have no clue about this technique, so im sorry for being ignorant by asking this: Why combine Velia with Lynch Ranch and Heidel with Toscani farm? And would it be possible to do smth like this in Altinova? Since the trade manager and warehouse are practically next to each other

Dirk N lower trade level requirements. Altinova has a majority of goods locked behind artisan/Master level reqs while heidel/Velia are lower level trade

Hey thanks. A few questions though; 1; so you are buying at the vendor that which you can carry before you go overweight, right? You sped up past that part and that seemed vital. Is there a doc out there for amounts so you don't need to calculate it? I was getting the hang of it though. Guess I could essentially take the same thing every time? I am using a sorc and i use q to squat and space seems to make it roll but it isn't fluid, though you speed it up so hard to tell what the animation really looks like. Question #2 I guess one of the points is to do both drops while the elixir timer is going, which seemed to be 4 minutes, right? Anything else added since then to give more boosts? I was using a seafood cron meal as well, Guess I will look at how to min max trade in general. Also connection routes for the nodes, does that matter? I have one going out to biraghi den because of the mining of the chamber, will that matter? Well, sorry for all the noob questions, but thanks so much for the video!

My secret, I have 2 chars, 1( Beginer 7) at heidel to fill storage and the one who i want lvl at Lynch farm. I just switch between then no need run with horse. I juste have 700LT with both char but i'm already Pro 3 in 10h

yes and but you must have maxe slot storage at heidel (196 slot i think) and switch server after each 15min.

It's nerfed but in my opinion its still the fastest way of leveling trading. I am up to artisan 9 now after 2 weeks of on and off, non focused trade leveling. My guildie did it in a week, also helped that he had more storage and a t8 horse so he was doing 1 run in about 17 mins.

Like 2 runs will level you then it becomes 3 then 4 and at artisan it becomes 4-5 and im at arty 9 so its definitely 5 that is with flowing time, +2 clothes, 8% tea, 5% scroll i got from looting barrels [idk if it works but it just says 5% more exp doesnt say combat only] my pets that gives 8% lifeskill exp, I was using loyalties to buy 10% lifeskill scrolls i ran out lol, 10% from shakatu villa and I get about 20-23% but i dont really fill my box I just do two runs to my box then move to the other box and two runs. Well at velia i pick up some stuff then change channel then do the 2 box run then heidel then up to lynch ranch.

lol definitely, I make them on the side in altinova so when i run to shakatu to get the buff, i pick some up and run it to trent then go back to rolling lol, i also make some on trent, i think ill go pick them up and sell to altinova lol

Thanks a lot for the Video! I am doing the rolling/container method atm... I have my main parked in either Lynch Ranch or Toscani farm and I do the rolling with an alt character (it was my previous main, but is a processing-cooking alt and has good weight value). It is easier that way because it saves me lot of travel on main, I just relog to turn in trade items... Also with this way, my Life xp buffs last much longer... The only downside is that I cannot buy with my alts the trade items that need Apprentice 6-7 and above... is this a problem? Does these items give significant more xp than the regular ones?

Giannis Papadopoulos you're welcome! I believe higher ranked goods give better Exp per item than the regular ones, but fractionally the difference should be marginal between them. We lack any real, hard data on the exp values to really know

How does this work? Aren't those farms in the 500m range? I just did some Trading from Port Epheria to Calpheon and from Calpheon to Trent, I hardly got any exp at Beginner lvl...

No, both locations are outside the 500m range of the Trade Managers. You can check by standing next to the trade managers and setting a waypoint to the trade manager at each location.

I have an almost perfect t8 horse. You mentioned using an elephant for tradind after reaching master1. Whats the benefit? Is it better than a good horse? Is it hard to get a good elephant?

Elephant has 8 inventory slots, and with Quick Ride and Sprint, moves ALOT faster than a wagon, so you can get a decent exp rate. Its actually less the container method, but I needed to switch it up after hitting Master 1, so I did some elephant trading. I did container till around 30 percent into Master 1, then needed something new so I went to get my elephant. Yes. Rolling method works for the first few levels, since it's just so few items it will go very quickly. If you have an elephant, you can do Velia-Heidel runs until more get unlocked. Or build trash crates (Timber Crates/Ore Crates) and sell them in Arehaza for a boost to get going

Thanks for the video, just some questions before I start the grind. After equipping the trade goods, I cant seem to roll using w+q, all I can do is a short dash/hop/jump that consumes energy. Also, being low leveled now, after reaching a higher trade level does it matter which trade goods to take that gives more exp, or do I just take anything that is in stock?

Hey! so question, I was doing this method but instead of doing Velia I only did Heidel and Lynch Ranch. It took me around 13- 15mins to go back and forth and I just swapped channels and did it over again which seemed faster to be because I'm Artisan 8 right now. Because with just one stop you will run into channel change cooldown times. That is why two stops are more efficient, you don't waste time waiting to change servers.

Ok now that i think about it, why do both heidel and velia and not just one? For example, fill velia bank, change server, run to toscani farm, sell goods, get back to velia. You will probably need to wait 2-3 minutes more until be able to talk to manager (10 minutes from server change). Isnt it better to wait 2-3 minutes and do it again than run to heidel and then to lynxh ranch...? Am i missing something?

Giannis Papadopoulos you could do that. Except you wouldn't burn 15 minutes by running. The full heidel/Velia rotation takes 16-20 minutes for me to complete so it could somewhat brain dead do it while watching Netflix and not have to constantly babysit channel timers

Just takes a bit of practice and getting your runs as short as possible. With a fast horse to get between Cities and Turn-in areas, you can shave even more time down.

Oh for that, there's so little content. It's as simple as getting a CTG (from your guild) into Valencia with your mount with the trade goods, then leaving the mount while you run out to Sharing, get the buff, run back, bargain for the bargain bonus, and then sell everything. :D

Maybe roughly 100CP or so? I already reinvested all my CP into workers and nodes so I can't for sure get an estimate, and due to the variety of different mixes of housing, P2Expand options, it would vary between players. But that 10CP spent on a 2nd container could easily be used towards Storage housing so more storage.

Im doing this right now. Im at Prof5 and if I channel switch after emptying heidel and fill all 120+ slots I get about 50% xp. According to my math it's going to take me about 120 hours with only 5% per run at M1. Am I missing something? Does the xp get better somehow when I rank up >.>

At the Artisan Levels you will be getting around 20 percent ish at the Artisan levels. Take into account that as you level up, more trade goods will be available to purchase.

Hmm well, day 4 for me. Artisan 1 now. Still do get 20-30% at this rank. My runtime is down to about 24min (usually resetting channel during Hiedel and doing 160/160 slots there gets me the extra 10%). I guess the biggest difference in our run times is my horse, a tier 5 with no skills. I do save some time in that I have 1350 weight (2400 max overload, I also noticed you carry way too much silver in your video wasting 3-5 items per run). I guess I just didn't expect that it would still take me about 5 days at 5-10 hours per day to hit M2 >.

Yes. As you need the 100 spaces to store all the trade goods that the Velia/Heidel trade manager offers. Once you're in the Artisan ranks, youll need more space. Lower tiers of trading wont need as much as you won't be able to purchase everything

Heidel only offers 60 kites at a time, you'd have to channel hop to get another 60 and then that would ruin the cycle because once you sell them you'd have to wait 15 minutes just to get another 60

You can make Ore Crates, Wood Crates, etc. Once you hit Master 6 trading, you can do Margoria Trade runs

Master 6 is the requirement to purchase Haso Silks. You can also do the Sailing Daily until Skilled 1, so you can complete the trade runs. A full load of 23 Haso Silks will earn a player 38-40M for a single trade run from Port Ratt to Valencia with Imperial Delivery.

No. You can't interact with Storage Containers while carrying tradepacks, so you HAVE to roll to the warehouse manager to deposit them. Or use a wagon/elephant to carry the packs and then manually drag them over, if that's a possibility. Haven't tested it. But as long as your character is carrying trade packs, you won't be able to open storage through a storage container

Try it out? I found it way easier to move trade goods with 1300 weight than using a mount. I could carry easily 20+ goods at once compared to the 16 an elephant can. Cuts down on the number of trips I had to do

I did this on my own with a stop watch. I got M2 yesterday and it took me (i shit u not m8) at least 40 hours of container method active trading. in 4-5 days I went from Apr 1 to m2 in that time. I had +200 stamina, +8% life exp, 3 hour +10% villa life exp, and +15% life exp food/elixir buffs going. When I hit M1 I bought like 2 +10% life exp scrolls. So I was going korean af on this method. Container method is shit but BEST method for hitting M2 in the shortest amount of active trading time.

I’m not sure if you need exactly 100 slots but having the extra slots is nice cause sometimes the trade manager will reset and you can fill up your storage completely with crates

They nerfed the Exp of NPC-Trade Goods. Since I am at Master 7 now, I have no way of checking how much experience per cycle it is now, nor want to reshuffle my CP and break my worker empire to do so.

No, Exp is from the distance. You will make money by having the nodes connected as if the node is not connected you can not sell for full price. But having the node connected is not required for gaining full exp, just trading over 500 meters.

Dark King the storage container only accesses the home city storage that the residence is tied to. So, only housing in the Heidel area will be connected to the heidel storage. As Altinova is a seperate city from Heidel, they will not share the same town storage. For inter-city trade like that, you'll need a wagon/elephant and manually run them between the cities. This method works by utilizing the city-storage pairing to a close by trade manager to turn in the trade items. Both of the farms are 'paired' to their respective home cities where the goods are bought from, but there is no connection of the town storage between Velia and Heidel. Which is why I have to do the turn ins at two separate nodes.

There is a finite amount of trade goods on every channel that replenishes on a set timer. It's more efficient to change channels to replenish the available trade items for purchase. At higher tiers of active trading that is profitable such as Margoria Trade Runs, channel swapping is required to acquire a full load due to the small amount of available trade items per channel (In the case of Margoria Trade Runs, generally 6ish per channel when your max-load consists of 23-25 items)

I'm not following SEA's patchnotes or if you've received the same trade exp nerf that NA/EU did. The container method is still the fastest way to get Artisan 2 or Master 2 for the desert debuff. But, if you don't have Valencia yet, you wont be able to get the Desert Buff as its part of the Valencia content. The trade exp nerf only reduced the amount of exp per NPC trade item, but it's faster than making the tens of thousands you need to hit M2 Trade via trash crates. It's faster but more annoying.

Its a mix of distance and quality. Higher tier items that require a higher trade level might have better exp per item, but volume+distance is greater with this method than the individual items, which is why you completely buy out the trade manager's goods, store it in the storage and mass-turn them in at both locations. You could turn them in farther, but this would take more time, where as Lynch Ranch and toscani farm are guaranteed to be within the storage-reach of the containers, are close by and easy to access to allow efficient use of time.

I sent a ticket and GM edan said "We are not currently punishing or seeking out players who use this method to level their trading, however, that doesn't mean that a change in the future will not make this into a punishable offense. I must caution you against using any methods that you feel may be an exploit". not today but in the future?? I gonna recomend stop doing this method or play by your own risk ...

That very ticket basically is saying, if they changed their minds in the future, that this method would be considered an exploit after that time, but at this current time, it is not considered one. Which, since one of their GM's has stated that is ISNT an exploit right now, that they can't retroactively punish every player that has utilized this method for exploiting. This is nothing similar to exploits such as the Digging Method or the Double-worker/Investment Banking exploit that was abused for financial game ingame. This method has been around for awhile, they've recieved PMs regarding it many times and have stated it is not an exploit of the system at this time, as it is utilizing the system EXACTLY as it was designed (Trade crates being placed in the storage, and being able to remotely access the storage to remove items from a town storage)

While it isn't an official exploit, it does have an exploity feel though. Like the worker exploit, and the boss-permastun exploit, they do retroactively punish people even though they know about the existence of such unintended game mechanics. We're basically at the mercy of the community. If theres an outcry, they will react. Probobly not a ban, but a tradelevel reset wouldn't be surprising. That said, I would if I had the self-discipline =) Good video skills btw.

Its been two years and we can do this on console. Im pretty sure its a safe method to level trading.
