I always remember this from 78 or 79 when I was home ill from school, in bed watching a little portable t.v. I came across "armchair thriller" and all these years later I still remembered the opening credits with the shadow and the chair... I couldn't remember much about the episode apart from Rachel's dad being in the airing cupboard and' him falling out when Rachel opened the cupboard. I searched for it and, as I watched it all came back to me... funny how some things stay in your head for so long!😊Oh and, I did fake my illness so I could watch the other episodes to the garden party. 🤣🤣🤣

i also remember it - i was 6 and remember the body falling out and the man telling Rachel he had to kill him … I remember my mum knitting and saying “ clever how she noticedhe always takes his glasses off”. … yes it certainly is strange the things we remember…. 46 years later! I wonder what time it was shown, it can’t have been late enough

Really good. I liked the child. She was polite, obedient, helpful and intelligent. Sad too what she said at the end.

Good story, though they didn't make much effort to act like a married couple in Rachel's presence.

Which kind of German should that be? Wir kennen uns nicht! That is okay! We do not know each other. But "schuldbewusst", means something like feeling guilty. Behave normal, so that nobody would think that we have a relationship or being familiar to each other, meeting us before.

No Scottish girl would speak the way Rachel does. Also, a Scotsman invented the telephone, so never mind the 'bad line to Scotland' crap, as if it were the back of beyond.
