Toast Hawaii is an open sandwich consisting of a slice of toast with cooked ham and cheese, and a maraschino cherry in the middle of a usually round pineapple slice, broiled, so that the cheese starts to melt. It became popular in West Germany in the 1950s. Pineapples are -- likely through pervasive American TV and movies over decades abroad -- often exclusively associated with Hawaii. See the similarly named Pizza Hawaii (pizza topped with pineapple slices on cooked ham) for another such association.

Old Ulrich looks just like middle-aged Ulrich. At first I thought they are played by the same actor. The casting is amazing.

As awful as Hannah is as a person, I think in that scene at the end, where she sees Mikkel and cries, it is absolutely evident that she really did love him. You don't break down in tears like that for someone unless you love them.

Elizabeth was a young and very observant girl in 2019. As an adult, she would recognize teenage Jonas. Side note: I'm from Hawaii and the first time I went to Germany in 2001, they were still fascinated with Hawaii LOL

I reckon it's safer to travel by cave because there are no trees or other crap that might grow in the exact spot you're standing and you time travel into being impaled by them.

Okay.... There was a subtle yet important clue in this episode regarding the "answer" to what's going on. That's all I'm saying...
