South Africa has a well developed military with a good variety of military hardware. I don’t think it has any potential enemies so maybe the size of the military could be scaled back somewhat. Except for the navy which needs much more resources for maritime patrol.

South Africa's military has regressed over the past 20 years in real terms. It has fallen down the world rankings and has lost its prime position on the African continent. Standards have dropped. Just look at the state of some of the bases. Discipline is not what it was, with the SANDF embarrassing both itself and the country on Armed Forces Day. Just another example of something built by the White Man, handed on a plate to the Black Man who then proceeds to screw it up. Put simply the Black Man could never have created a military force on his own, but is quite happy to take over something created by someone else, call it his own and then set about ruining it.

Zavier 1 the majority of white people don't want to serve in the sandf and most probably because they hate the idea of being commanded by Black leaders and and they think that serving this country is like working for the ANC, I've seen these kind of comments when the minister of defense said there's a need of white people in our defense force.
