I’ve been on a huge binge lately of these true crime interviews and the vast majority you can tell are not reformed and still thrive off reputation and being feared, but this guy is so genuine and you can really tell he’s turned it around. Just hearing him talking about taking pride in his first pay check made me have huge respect for him

The psychology is amazing on these podcasts. Danny is a lovely lad. He's not a criminal. He's a victim of abusive criminal behaviour as a child. All I see, and hear, is a very sensitive, honest, human being, scarred by his upbringing.The stories, like the purple underpants and wellies as a child at school doing the hundred metres is as sad as it is hilarious, It is Ken Loach style pathos at its best.Shaun and Wildman totally relate to Danny's tales. I would trust all three of these lads more than many, so called " straight " people. Wonderful stuff Shaun x

You know what, I have to share this story with you :-) My mate, Big Steve Mitch and me ( with a few other scallywags ) were drinking in our local pub. This total arsehole was bragging about everything and anything you could imagine. Most of his lackeys were lapping it up, Then Big Mitch lets him have it ( in a proper gentle Northern manner ) " You see, your problem mate ... and it's not your fault, you were pampered as a lad, you never had to hide behind the settee with your Mam and Dad when the rent man knocked on the door .... best days of my life mate, we were all trying like fuck not to laugh out loud .... that's proper parenting " ..... obviously, it went totally over the privileged prat's head. Me and me brothers were in bits ha ha ha

Really enjoyed this, I have a close relative who got 3 yrs with an IPP in 2005 for something minor - he ended up serving 14yrs. So much of what Danny said ive heard from my cousin. He got out last year and only lasted 6 weeks, He's now back inside doing Life with a minimum of 18yrs, He's CAT A currently @ HMP Manchester. My view is that those IPP's that were given out just helped institutionalise guys, making it much harder for them to fit back in once released, job options more difficult etc etc, Well done Danny - great guest and story, just makes me miss my cousin alot.

@@Dannydawson537 ok so im guessing you were on D wing / induction wing??? last time i was in there 2005 D wing was the wing you came onto for first night/few weeks and it had 23hr bangup at that time. - thanik God i did what u done turned my life around and i been free since 2006. what changed me was armley visit staff ripping my 6 year old baby out of my arms at end visit he was asleep in my arms and they prised his hands off me ripped him away my parents made a complaint it was out of order i was prepared to stop visit but they wouldnt wait they ripped the baby away that made me change i promised to never go abck. and i havent been since 2006

If public education had even entry level courses on behavioral science people would be able to sort themselves out or others could help them. The same methods for training a dog work for people, positive reinforcement and punishment. But the people ruling over us want us to live with chaos and strife because it keeps us too busy to realize they've got their dicks in our asses.

@@Dannydawson537 You're obviously into a fit lifestyle. Danny you ought to look into whether or not you picked up infections while inside. The environment isn't good and the food is shite. There's a big awakening slowly happening in the medical community regarding gut health. You might not have any issues that you physically feel, but our gut has direct nervous system connections to our brains and can rapidly effect how we feel (feel that hit of acid on an empty stomach within 15 minutes?....exactly). Any way, the shit they serve as food to prisoners isn't fit for consumption. It could be fucking up people's gut microbiome. This can fuck with people's heads with out them ever knowing what's causing it. It can fuck up people's memory too, I know first hand. One dirt cheap way of testing without having to see a doctor and running $300 panels is to buy Ceylon Cinnamon oil (don't buy Cassiac). You get some empty gel capsules, start with 1 drop of ceylon cinnamon oil per day, you put a drop in the capsule, fill the rest of the capsule with an eyedropper and something like olive oil (carrier oil, google it if you need to know). This dilutes the cinnamon so it's not so concentrated. Then you pop that with at least 4 ounces of water per drop of oil. You can work up to 2 drops of cinnamon oil 3 times a day. Do not RUSH this because if you picked up bad gut bugs while in the pen, this stuff selectively kills them, and when they die they give of toxins which can hurt. So low and slow with the doses. If you get flue like symptoms that's the bad shit dying off. Don't eat hardly any carbs during this period too. There's a facebook group call gut health protocol. This has helped get rid of a chronic late night listlessness I had. This literally helped me get my memories back. There's other people on those forums who have had it help with anxiety and other mental states. That cinnamon oil burns like shit if you get it on open wounds or on your mouth with out diluting it, so treat it right. If you use google you can find out a lot more. It's cheap as shit compared to running doctor's labs. $10 for a bottle in the USA.

The two worst I had to deal with were 1) a Korean who didn't know what the fuck it took to build a computer and install an operating system, so he some how thought giving a pep talk like, " The store across the way is selling more computers. Get more done.", was actually going to some how speed up a process limited by the speed of the computer. And the other guy was an ex-boxing State runner up champ, who became a neurologist, but I KNOW this fucker was likely prescribing himself speed. He had these ups and downs, and I actually saw him TWICE shooting up one co worker who had been in an accident and had whiplash. It had to be morphine the way she mellowed out (she was also a cunt, I happened to be the lucky guy to work with them both and the whole lab knew what a shit hand I had there hahaha, but I got the letters of rec I needed to go on to graduate school).
