Actually beef or chicken is not commonly used for BBQ. It’s pork and lamb and very often whole fish is one of things that is barbecued. You are more likely to find beef or chicken bbq in restaurants for tourists

This is just a fraction of the many Armenian dishes. Some of This dishes are famous is Eastern Armenia. Remember that each province in West and East Armenia have their own unique dishes the Eastern Armenian don’t know the western Armenian dishes and that because they were isolated from the west Armenian due to the communist control. However, due to refugee Armenians from Syria the dishes of western Armenians are shared between them. We have thousands of dishes and we have two version of the same dish one with meat and one vegetarian they prepare it during the 40 days fasting for Jesus memorial. Armenians call grape leaves and mixes stuffed vegetables Tolma not Dolma the Turks changed it to Dolma to claim the recipe. More interesting fact that each dish has its made song, the woman sang it when they prepared it during festive times.
