My good friend Laura Gorgorian, now deceased, was born in Armenia and fled persecution in 1915 with her parents and siblings. They came to New York and on to Phoenix, Arizona where I met Laura. A beautiful, sweet, wonderful lady with a talent for sewing and entertaining with love and hospitality. She and relatives attended the Armenian Church in Scottsdale, Arizona. I miss her! I was there last week and I tell you people, it was like straight out of a Game of Thrones scene. The food were awesome, people warm (tho strict looking) and the sceneries were to die for. The monasteries made me feel something inside of me, like a reconnection to my spiritual side. It was like being close to Jesus and the heavens. I closed my eyes and imagined living in ancient Armenia and I could feel it in my bones. Still gives me goosebumps thinking about it. I promise to come back. I was also fortunate to have been blessed by Father Saleh in the monastery of Noravank when I was there. He also invited me and my group to join a baptism ceremony. I loved it a loooooot ❤

@@williamneufeld7616Armenia is the First Nation to adopt Christianity as the state religion. Tiridates III converted and enacted the nationwide adoption of Christianity as the national religion in 301 AD. Egypt had Christianity introduced around 49 AD but didn’t adopt it as the official religion. It’s really a relatively small distinction in the spread of Christianity but one Armenians are still proud of.

if interested...Rothman, quoted said...''All that was known in Mesopotamia came from Armenia and that Armenia is the absent fragment in the entire mosaic of the ancient world's civilization's construction. H.V. Hilprecht (1859-1925) a Clark research professor of Assyriology and scientific director Babylonian expedition at the University of Penn. argue that the Hittite tongue is Armenian and the Hittites themselves were of Armenian stock... All civilization came from The Armenians Highlands. What do other historians say...according to Anthropologist Mitchell S. Rothman regarding the extent of discoveries and specially on the quality of horse bones proved, According to him, that it was from the Shangavit Armenian 6000 years ago that the culture of that area spread around to the ancient world.. according to Ellis (1861) through language analysis we observe that under the names of Phrygians, Thracians, Pelasgians and Etruscans spread westward from Armenia to Italy and Elis claimed that the closest affinities of the Aryan element are the Armenians ..other historians that agree are Hellenthal, Busgy, Brand, Wilson, Myers and Falush...Professor Jensen also says. ‘For almost everything that is known in the Hittite language is Old Armenian in form..Historian Sayce (1845-1933) also consider Hittite and Armenian to be one and the same’. Also if interest….let me quote Merrick (2012) All religions are descended from and ancient Vedic cosmology described in the Rib - Veda, originating in Armenia near Mt. Ararat at least 6800 ys ago and the basic concepts of a transcendental mountain extending into space and populated planet Star-gods were developed...he further says...This Astrotheology then migrated with Armenian Aryans to found the Sumerian Ethiopian/Egyptian and Indian civilizations and religions...from Language as a fingerprint Setyan...

Wow !! Can't express how much have I enjoyed this video. Didn't want it to end. I grew up as a little girl with Armenian kids and lived next to Armenian neighbours. As a child I had a dream to visit Armenia one day. My favourite classmate was an Armenian girl, my favourite teacher was our neighbor Armenian woman. But, suddenly everything had changed and horrible riots started in a country and all of them fled at once to Armenia , Russia , Canada and so on. It was very very sad... Few years later we left to Israel. Today I'm 43 years old and I remember all of them , their names and surnames and how wonderful and educated they were. I wish one day somehow I will have opportunity to take my three kids and come with them to travel in Armenia. Thank you for such a wonderful and precious video 💕

In Singapore we have an Armenian church that dates back to the early 1800's. Though small in numbers, the Armenian population here are high achievers. The first Prime Minister of independent Singapore was Mr. David Marshall, a brilliant lawyer and a humane, honest man much admired by many. The Sarkies Brothers built Raffles Hotel, which until today is THE premium hotel in Singapore and an iconic landmark. Bravo Armenia.

You can speculate that the Balanghai Boat from Butuan once displayed at the yard of the Philippine Museum along Finance St. and Taft Avenue Manila where the late President Marcos got the name of the smallest unit of the Philippine Government "Barangay" is made up of the Philippine National Tree but I think to claim that the Noah's Ark is also made of Narra Wood is a lie and a fake News.

Agreed on all, except there's no getting to anywhere by keep chanting "genocide". There are 2 sides to the events of 1915 involving Armenians. There's history. You have to study it bilaterally or you are laughable. Politicians never been and surely aren't today in a position to talk about history. Simply because they chose to be politicans, regardless of their background. Armenians were the "nation loyal(millet) in the Turkish Empire, then towards the beginning of the collapse of it, some Armenians decided to rage villages, kill villagers, abduct people, rape women; all while fighting on the enemy front against the state they live in! Then, other Armenians, be it innocent or guilty, suffered consequences, which was mainly dislocation. Not as simple as this, but I didn't write this for a bigoted mind anyway, but for people who can think.

Amazing 🌹 Rose isn't it? Thank your comment. My grandmother when I am five age, once said "God is much (shad) greater than we are*." So in His/Her mercy...today we live on, nearly seven million dispersed this amazing planet called 'Earth' so rare to inhabit the Universe, a good place to inhabit! The Amenian culture/language/archaelogy/historical significance ...since the origins of time; woman and man live on, our ancient origins near lost! Thank you your comments. Yet, by miracles some how; this miniscule heritage and tiny homeland lives on. From a much smaller Mount Ararat in Northern San Diego county. California. Azfaz tun kedzhee shad menzeh.*

Not true at all : 1- Noah Built his arche in Ain-El-Jerr in Lebanon as the bible says ( normal thing since the lebanese phoenicians were the first to build ships ) 2- they say the ship set on Ararat Mountain , which is one of many names given to Mount Hermon in Lebanon .. 3- the dove came back with a leaf of olive . ( remember < lebannon was the only country that had the Olive trees , the sisters olive trees of Noah are in Lebanon ,, they're still producing olive oil , one of the finest in the world ) 4- if the ship set in Armenia , it is impossible for the dove to cross this whole distance to bring a leaf of olive from Lebanon and return to Armenia 5-only in Lebanon there are villages carrying the name of Adam and Eve and Noah , . in Phoenician ( the original language of the Lebanese people ) 6-God forbid Moises to enter mount of Lebanon , he told him that Lebanon is God's land on Earth 7- in Lebanon Jesus was born later on from Mary whose village Kana is in south Lebanon where Jesus performed his first miracle turning water into wine in the wedding celebration of his Mother's RELATIVES 8- galilee was a canaanite district that always belonged to lebanon until very recently when it was split to annex it with Israel 9-John the Baptist grew up in the village of Kawkaba in Lebanon in his mother's aunt house , where he learnt the baptism from the Phoenicians monks of Lebanon 10- Jesus never left Lebanon and spent his life in the historical land of Lebanon ,, jerusalem was at the beginning a Phoenician canaanite city built and gouverned by Melchisedec from Sidon Lebanon.. the Jews admit in their bible that Abraham confiscated it 11- remember oldest inhabited cities in the world are Lebanon's .. not one single armenian city exists in the top 10 oldest 12- first christian people were the Phoenician canaanites of Lebanon , and the first saint Martyrs , were from Lebanon ( Barbara , Aquilina , Marina , Christina , Theodora , brothers frumentius ) first bishops who wrote the christian liturgy , and first ever cathedral in Tyre in Lebanon almost 30 years before resurrection church was erected by the emperor Helen 13-Lebanon the smallest country in the world has churches and Lebanese priests in every city in the world .. that's a miracle in itself

It was in Karabakh region, internationally recognised Azerbaijani territory occupied by armenian russian troops 28 years ago. The territory was occupied, peaceful inhabitants were massacred. But we revenged and took our territory back. Really, revenge is so sweet feeling.

@@nigarnovruzova8682 hmm yet all I see are Armenian monasteries, homes, and ancient artifacts:) revenge on WHAT exactly? You who came from Mongolia?
