For the record, Armenia is the poorest country in Europe. Muslim Kosovo used to be the poorest but not anymore. Landlocked Armenia relied on Russia for decades until Putin stabbed Armenia in the back by doing nothing when Aliyev's Azerbaijan attacked in Nagorno-Karabakh. Never trust Chekist Putin and stay away from Russia's viper nest !

Accepting Armenia to the EU creates an ambivalent situation. One can be sympathetic because Armenia suffered a terrible genocide in WW I, which Turkey refuses to acknowledge and has suffered terribly at the hands of Azerbizhjan. On the other, despite suffering its own genocide, it has allied itself to Iran, that has genocidal intent, with deeds, towards Israel and the Jews.

Armenia does not really have a chance does it? Azerbaijan want to invade, Russia want to invade, Erdogan also is not favorable towards Armenia. Iran, however, has an interest in keeping the border between Armenia and Iran. Iran does not want that Azerbaijan moves a corridor through Armenia. Armenia does not have the luxury to do everything according to morals. It has diversified alot already with training with US troops, EU missions or India, but in the end Teheran is the only force preventing an invasion of Armenia.
