I really appreciate Mr. Hagopian how he found this old songs music sheets and the lyrics. This two young musicians are playing very well and 'clean'. Bravo. Krikor 87 from California.

Forget all the bias and the tension. Let’s just admire how our cultures are very similar. Greatings from an Armenian

Yes it's similar because historically what is turkey was originally ancient Armenian lands for many thousands of years (before the ottoman take over). So a lot of Armenian culture was absorbed into turkey. I'm very glad that you're enjoying it. Music can unite open minded people's.

@@m-l7127 the mixture of influences is astonishing. armenia is influenced by persians and greeks but also one can hear the asian influence brought from the altai mountains. there is a caucasian culture if you listen at azeri georgian and armenian music its very similar with different specialities like georgian polyphonic singing and yodling and armenian duduk playing ( rest in peace Jivan Gasparyan ) I think what is typical for turkish music is the guitars and a little bit more "hardcore" approach in terms of timbre a turkish lyra will be sharper and higher in sound than a pontian greek lyra for example! this topic is endlessly complex and I could talk about it for hours.

@@m-l7127 This music was developed and formalized by Adbulkadir Meraghi, who worked for Timurlane. Greeks make the same claims as you do. This music genre is used all over from Kashgar in east Turkistan to Morocco.

It is Turkish and Azerbaijani Turkish music. These minor subjects only stole and adapt the TURKISH culture.

Excuse me but its ridiculous 42:10 where he says Tatyos is the composer of most of Classical Ottoman music. He is very seperatist and misinforming regarding Armenians being the so called inventers of Ottoman music. In short, you can check it out, what he means for Ottoman music. We play more than 2-3 thousands of pieces from 15th to 19th century in about 60 maqams actively. We have more than 4-5 hundred maqams. For the curious ones, Hammamizade İsmail Dede is most contributing probably. Also many more. He doesnt know much about Ottoman music. We do not seperate armenian and this or that. Im really shocked and sorry for him.

@@user-rv7ou5sb5o What we use today is is Latin alphabet with some additions. No problem if an armenian served to this. I would be thankful. The issue is, you try to discuss a racist topic and continuing this oud players' racism. Im talking about a music repertoire, if he would be right where is the proof? He is misinforming and seperatist. And what are you? You will decide.
