I’ve been eyeing a Nighthawk for about a year. Just haven’t had $5k burning a hole in my pocket yet. Gorgeous guns 💪

My first couple of Nighthawks were purchased used, since like you, I couldn't afford $5,000 for a new gun. People who own Nighthawks do not abuse their guns, so you can be fairly sure the used Nighthawk will be in great shape. I now own 3 used Nighthawks, 1 Ed Brown, a Les Baer, and even 2 Cabots. I have never had any problems w/ any of these, so I might suggest buying a used Nighthawk. The one problem w/ owning any custom gun is that your life will never be the same.

@@philapop5269 that’s damn good advice. It’s a good entry point anyway. I doubt I’d be able to stop after getting a used one and would most certainly fall down that rabbit hole.

@@afdhater Valve is a publisher now. Looks like the only thing it makes in-house are cosmetics and VR junk (which is still largely a gimmick). The last real single player game it made was Portal 2 damn-near a decade ago, and even that was just a puzzle game.

Nighthawks are amazing pieces of art. Now with double stacks available double the fun!! nighthawks and atlas are in my opinion the absolute best 1911s.

Off the 1911 topic but I am just curious How are you able to have some of the things you do without the government taking it or arresting you. I live in Canada and thought the new ban banned all ar15 and ar15 variants and a lot of the other guns you have. How do you still have them legally?

I like the PRES too. \\ Wonder if all NIghthawk guns can be sent to Turenbull for their "bluing". ANd does Nighthawk offer this grip ("Golfball") in a dark brown? NOt that the black doesn't look good with the stainless Sleel body...it'sjust done so often. And I am a sucker for "blued" guns...done well. Nighthawk does seem to take their guns "one extra step" vs most "custom" gun amakers (except Cabot....which might be the only company that builds their guns I think 100 percent in-house..i tihnk they make their own grips even...the exoticmaterial ones anyway)..... Cabot guns---love their "full custom" approach....but what gets me is....they are taking what is "space garbage" and marketing them as somthing special "moon rock" :)) Soemthing that fell from the sky somewhere ..and they picked it up. :)) Though i'm told they do offer cabon fibre grips too (as available on quality pocket-knives)....and why isn't Cabot taking "blocks of titanium" or "blocks of platinum" and machining a slide/frame? Avuailable "high-end" materials....why not a 1911 made of solid 14 or 18k gold?? A real "golden gun" (Bond movie ref).... If they're going to machine full custom guns...shrug...
