After all these mainstage sets, it's awesome to see Armin playing something more underground, trancy... ASOT radio show is a different story, but after all those big festival performances, it's nice to rediscover Armin's music sense and ability to build up the atmosphere from deeper, low bpm warm up stuff with the progress all the way to the techtrance note. I wish to see this more often from him :(

For me this is how trance music should be played. The Dj selects a great collection of tracks,links them together invisibly and lets the music do the talking. If the tunes are good there is no need to try and be clever as the music will take you on the journey that the dj chooses to send you on. Armin is certainly one of the best in the world at playing great music in a none egotistical manner. You can see and hear that for him it is about the enjoyment for the listener. You make many people smile and feel good Armin,you should be proud. xx

This is such an incredible set... I keep coming back to listen the 6 hours in a row... maybe Armin's best set ever... it starts with a soft slow warmup and at some point that you can't really tell when, you find yourself jumping or headbanging totally lifted... I wish I was there that very day...

Yep but that was because he was playing in a club, proper place to play Deep, Tech House and Techno to warm up. In a Festival, Mainstages or ASOT Stages is impossible play that music obviously haha. However his Untold 7h set has an amazing techno part (actually some songs of this set) that was a really great sorprise for me.

The second half is great, but more of the usual a bit to me. Some of Armin's best sets are like the first half of this one. Love Armin and ALL his music... but love him even more when he respects his roots in plays genuine Trance (I know it doesn't sell...not much here in the US anyway, but just saying). :-)

Crowd control is very important, but I don't agree with like radical change of style, what Tiesto did for example..

That is the difference between current Armin and current Tiesto. Armin has produced many different genres until now (some good songs and others bad as everything) but he still making Trance like his new song: 'Just As You are' with Fiora or Our Origin, Popcorn, The last dancer, I live for that energy, etc. I mean, he never has forgotten his real roots but Tiesto has many lost years in only commercial music and I agree with you, that is too bad. From many years ago Armin is much better than Tiesto and it's not difficult to notice it. But Tiesto probably earn much more money by presentations lol. To us that is not important and maybe neither for Armin but for many others DJs of course it is.
