Id love to know, If you were to design your own bow, what style and features it would have. Also, with such a big following that you have, would you consider working with one of the manufacturers to produce a signature range of reasonably priced bows. I think you could sell a lot of them

I second that: i'd be very interested to know, and probably purchase

@kungfuskull as would I. I'm only starting my archery journey at 47 but I really like Armins teaching style and I would definitely be interested in purchasing

@@dermotshaw5722 I bought one of the bows he recommended a few years ago, the Black Mamba Scythian bow by Flagella Dei, and even with 7 other bows it remains my favorite. I got a flemish string for it though, which makes it *infinitely* more pleasant to shoot. I'd *highly* suggest getting flemish strings whenever possible, just really feels so much nicer on your fingers, less shock after the shot, it's just all-round nicer to use. (Also, check out that bow: it kicks ass. Can shoot it literally for hours, looks lovely, very smooth draw, very nice. Just as he said! Still my favorite of all bows I've used.(but obviously: get whatever works for you))

@kungfuskull I'll definitely check it out, thanks for that

Great video as always, the point about shipping at the end is good tip. If you live somewhere where it doesn't matter, smart to lean towards the product that best fits the budget.

Unreal Review! Free Fingas Verses Thumb Extra Turbo Draw would be a great Show too. Beauty Armi.

Both bows perform beautifully, but personally I like short bows, but I really like watching your videos so keep it up with any kind of bow you come up with, maybe somebody could send you a South American bow with their really long arrows, would be interesting to see how they shoot

I LOVE the look of the flat bow you have in your right hand, Bowman one, it's a bit like my 25 pound flat bow, I brought it in Portsmouth here in Britain,

Armin, have you tried a Howard Hill bow, rather than a Hill Style bow?

beautifull but massive flatbows ! now you're an expert with horsebows (short and long), what's your feelings with the long draw with those ones ? heavyer but with better control and precision, or it's more a patience experience ?
@VladMcMerlin2 жыл бұрын
What do you think of introducing a new criterium - the real draw length, that is max draw minus brace hight? Because if you take a Korean 31 inch bow with 6 inch brace hight, it's not the same as a Turkish (or any other) 31 inch bow with 7.5 inch brace hight. I hope you see what I mean.

Hey mate if you want a Hill style bow close as possible to the original, then check out Nick Lintern Norseman Longbows NSW Australia. I just ordered his " Warrior longbow " $900 aud and 10-12 week waiting period !

@@ArminHirmer I was set on getting a Northern Mist classic longbow but at present American air freight costs outright extortion . 3rivers small parcel $220 USD. Antique American civil war musket i had my heart set on buying , the cheapest postage quarte was $600USD .

@@sheepsfoot2 I know, its very expensive. Byron Ferguson one said to get a take down bow, costs a bit more but way less shipping :)

Nick's bows aren't any closer to an original than either of these. They are just his take on it as well. Unless Armin gets an actual Howard Hill thats come from original tapers and profiles, an interpretation is the best you can do. I know Nick also makes his bows symmetrical like the Emu I made for Armin.
