Great in-depth review! Loved hearing the two contrasting experiences with this style of putter. Also the technical info was super interesting to understand the approach behind it.

Nice video, guys. Interesting facts about the adjustments needed for weight, loft, etc. and it almost seems like too much effort to get a proper putter. I’m nowhere near good enough for that to matter to me, but I could see why tour pros would switch to try and get any advantage they can
@GolfAscending3 жыл бұрын
If you bought a putter designed for arm lock you could get away with using it without any adjustments. The putters Brady and I used were created from a normal putter so more had to go into adjustments.

You all should do a video at Tyson’s garage so we can see how he is making putters, would be interesting

It's such a mess right now lol! The main tools I have are a Loft/Lie machine, gripping station with clamp and tray, Air compressor, blasting cabinet, miter saw, and a bench vise. Maybe when/if I get it cleaned up we can show a walkthrough 😂

Great video guys! I really need to practice this more and see how much it could help me too. Also really enjoy the view of that course. Very jealous! Also thanks for the sub!!! REALLY appreciate it.

Thank you thank you! We were able to do a golf content retreat in Southern Utah and pumped out tons of content! The courses there are next level for sure! And, no problem on the sub, maybe we can collab sometime!?

@@GolfAscending that’s awesome and smart call gathering as much as you could there!!! Looks absolutely stunning and bring me envy haha. Oh my gosh yes!!! I’m totally down! Even if it’s like ‘virtual’ one I’d be over the moon to.

So is that what Jack Nicklaus was doing when he putted in the 60s all hunched over? Was he locking his arm with a normal putter?
@GolfAscending3 жыл бұрын
No, Jack was using a different method, most likely trying to lock his arm a different way.

Is this better than broomstick?
@GolfAscending11 ай бұрын
We haven’t don’t in depth testing on the broomstick, other than in a store, but we really like the armlock and wrist lock methods. Brady is currently playing a reverse armlock, which is his favorite putter setup so far. Tyson is playing wrist lock with one of his putters. We have a video on the reverse armlock, if you’re interested, reviewing the Pinhawk.

I'd ban it, it's just as bad as locking a long putter into your chest which has been ban.
@GolfAscending3 жыл бұрын
Have you tried it? For me after trying it, I found it isn't for everyone...I'd much rather putt conventional ways. Similar situation happened with Xander Schauffele...called it out for being cheating, said if I can't beat em join em...and then switched back because it made his putting worse. It's an interesting topic for sure!

I’d say 95% of golfers play recreational golf. Leave us the Fuck alone

Armlock putters should not be allowed in competitive play.

Why?

Why
@brentdowell74332 жыл бұрын
Everyone has access to them and if you suck with wristy putting it helps. Why should it be banned
@brentdowell74332 жыл бұрын
Plus if armlock gets banned I’m just going to wrist lock
