Armor X Pro Unlock it's potential with Steam (volume warning)

Hold Y+Home for at least 5 seconds to enable PS4 mode on your Armor X Pro. (the lights will turn blue)
Valve added support for the armor x pro's ps4 mode recently. Unlocking it's gyroscope to be used as a mouse in any game on steam! (Do not use the gyro button when using steam gyro. It will mess with your sensitivity)
The back buttons can also simuulate the ps4 touchpad, letting you bind extra buttons to it!

you are my savior! After a few months, I finally figured out the problems I finally figured out how to apply the back button to the center trackpad!! The Steam settings were complicated and very difficult for me. Thank you so much for letting me know how to use this feature!!🤩😆😸

Unfortunately you need to pass it through reWASD, or else 3D overlay won't see it.

Nice to see the Armor X working on Steam. Though I wanna ask if you'll check out the Alpakka controller? It seems to be really interesting in that it uses 2 gyros simultaneously to get a significantly better gyro output.

GOD don’t have armor x pro yet but damn it looks like THE most number 1 way to play pc games with gyro. I have no idea how I haven’t seen this before. I’ve been using 8bitdo pro 2 to emulate extra key bindings with the custom back paddles but it has always felt clunky and the customization for 8bitdo is fine but nowhere near as precise and pc friendly this looks. Thanks for doing a review for the armor x pro I would’ve never have found this awesome tool.

It's either that, or the more premium Dualsense edge, which can also map its paddles independently (thank you valve) AND has a proper touchpad.

Editing was on steam deck. Recording I was able to use my pc for the weekend.

No. You don't. Not for pc. Only for PS4, because it needs it to trick the PS4 into thinking you're using a real controller. Or else it'll time the controller out.

The axp has a ps4 mode. Hold the Xbox button+Y for 5 seconds until the light on the back turns blue. Then you'll be in ps4 mode

Thanks you for your quick answer, my main issue is at 0:18, with the steam input. I’m unable to use M1-2-3-4 for the central trackpad. I tried everything, nothing work.

Did you set "Center Trackpad" to "Directional Pad"?

When I turn on PS4 mode like you say (Home +Y for 5 sec), I get the blue light on the back, but the orange light never stops blinking and neither Steam nor my PC will recognize that I have a controller connected at all. What gives?

@@tekgeekster I keep running into more and more bugs and issues with this thing even after updating it... For instance setting up the extra buttons as the center trackpad as a d-pad isn't working for me... On top of all this Steam input is a horrible awful buggy mess. I am so frustrated. I've spent hours of my afternoon just trying to use this thing I paid 45 bucks for... ughhh

How to turn off activate on click? I set trackpad to dpad like in your guide but it doesn't work in the game. It is out of the box idk if I need to update the software or something? --Also look like It can't go back to Xbox after switching to ps4 pro. I have been holding home+Y again and again but it stays at blue led.-- Fixed by reconnecting the USB dongle.

to go back to xbox, hold Home + X. And for Nintendo switch it's Home + A. Turn off click to activate by selecting the gear icon next to the touchpad option for each direction.

@@tekgeekster I figured it out, You missed one step of explanation there, the default setting doesn't have that 'click to activate' I had to switch Dpad layout to Analog emulation or Cross gate first then that option will appear below. Anyway thanks for this video It helped me in decision making and made my gaming experience better without paying 200$ on dum ass pro controller.
