The original song plays at the credits of AC: Nexus too, meaning you hear it right after, (Spoilers) Seeing the suicide drones being released, killing thousands, leaving the world in disarray, and seeing your character die.

I had the exact opposite response as a kid. When I first saw the opening cinematic of Nexus, Shining instilled me with such an intense feeling of sorrow that I tried to convince my friend not to watch it. Now, I was a stupid kid at the time who had no clue about the darker nature of Armored Core’s story, especially since I used Action Replay cheats wherever I could, but this song really got to me.

At first I couldn't believe it but then realized that it's actually happening. I suspect AC6 will be released between February and May next year since that is usually around the time From Software has always released their games. But anyways, welcome aboard, pilot.

This song finally makes the vocals of the original clear, and in doing so, we hear that the first line in the song, this whole time, was "No More Cry." Look up the Armored Core 3 OST, and the menu music from the game, which is also sort of AC3's overture, is titled "no more cry." I think I get why this remix sounds the way it does now. Think back to AC3: DOVE (known as The Controller outside of Japan, or at least in the US) was malfunctioning, so you had only two options: One, let it destroy humanity and truly end the world as it was known; Two, destroy the Controller and leave humanity's fate with the Corporations that caused the very Great Disaster humanity had to take shelter from in the first place. Obviously, your choice was #2, and although Silent Line showed some level of peace as Earth was slowly being rebuilt, when Nexus starts, in strolls Navis, meddling with the other corporations' activities and monopolizing a useful, rare resource. Kisaragi, blinded by greed, teams up with Navis to get in on that dough as they try to topple Crest and Mirage, who both already have strong disagreements in resource sharing and territory. War is about to happen again, and DOVE, the Controller, is no longer able to regulate everything. Humanity's fate hung in the Corporations' balance, and here they were, dumb as ever, ready to make the same mistakes again over bitter rivalries. If another Disaster happened, if another extinction event came knocking on humanity's door... would they be able to survive it this time? The song takes a somber and melancholic tone, because it's highlighting the one horrible truth to Nexus' storyline: From Navis' introduction to their suicide drone attack at the end that DID send the world back to a Great Disaster, _there was never a good option for humanity's future, even in 3._ For what it's worth, though... you probably gave humanity the best chance it'd ever get again. Would humanity survive, or would the world end? Only time will tell. Only the Last Raven will know.

@AeridesEntertainment4 жыл бұрын
@@bunnyattic0009 I personally adore both 3's and 4's. I'm a sucker for these "war is NOT glorious" type stories that, despite being fictional, perhaps even sci-fi or fantasy, really make it a point to portray the level of brutality and destruction in a realistically negative light, what damage is actually done to our home and our people, especially in Armored Core where innocents die without cause daily and civilians are perpetually caught in the crossfire, unwilling casualties in a centuries-old war perpetuated by what are essentially just warmongers and bullies seeking ever-increasing profits. It really makes the games feel a lot more meaningful, to show that you and you alone are powerful enough to not only police these uncaring entities yourself, but reduce their ability to fight you to ash and rubble if you so wish, all in an attempt to give humanity respite... and maybe one day, freedom.
@SelenVtuberFoxgirl2 жыл бұрын
well the whole thing is i've played all of them and the whole story is basically the world as we know it getting controlled by AI and when nexus begins the Armored core unit named Nexus (well in my case i called it nexus) decided that it's best to end the world because history will only just repeat it's self and eventually earth will be a wasteland again and by the end of the game nexus decides to die in order to destroy but save the world
@Mobius-ow7id2 жыл бұрын
At the end of the day a Raven’s existence is on a razors edge, between dealing with corporations trying to subject and subsume each other and near extinction level disaster brought about by human hubris, plus the possibility of losing your sanity and sense self by becoming cyborgs through HUMAN Plus, its a struggle few are willing to endure. Not to mention the possibility of losing the ones you love to the machinations of outside forces. To sum it up, only those who can face these challenges and come out on top can truly be called Ravens.

Plutia chan They’ve said they’re interested in making another AC, but that worldwide appeal has to be a priority since FromSoft is so well-known now. So, I’d expect it to be a bit slower and more western mecha-like in the vein of Chromehounds. However, they did also say that they’re open to remastering older titles. I’d prefer that, really. I’d kill for a remaster of Last Raven with all the PSP parts added. That would also really appeal to the Soulsborne crowd who loves FromSoft’s hard-ass games.

@Brawler_1337 Жыл бұрын
To be honest, I think From Soft’s big break with Dark Souls was exactly what Armored Core needed to grow in the gaming community. The AC games were largely well-received by critics until Nexus started making things harder, but the games didn’t sell that well outside of Japan because mecha is kind of niche in the west. But once From Soft struck gold with Dark Souls and continued to make gold with the rest of Soulsborne, players now trust From Soft to make amazing games no matter the genre. Now enter Armored Core 6, which has garnered glowing reviews and great sales figures. Hell, player trust in From Soft ran so deep that new players who had never even heard of Armored Core were intrigued enough to look back through From Soft’s catalog to try the older games. I think AC’s long hiatus has paid off, and we may be on the cusp of a renaissance for the series.
