Im pretty sure the reason the magestic feels more consistant/accurate than the jvln is because the jvln has a smaller det range than the other bazookas to compensate for its extra aoe effect. iirc thar was listed in the datamined stats for all the detenation ranges

It does seem like that is the case. That's cool, but it needs to be heavier then!

Yeah, the majestic has a prooximity range of 10 meters so it's effectively a 10 meter bullet while the Javalin I think only has a 7 or 5 meter range making its bullet effectively a quarter to half as big.
