I keep fucking crying over this fight When I got to this point, I was on ng+. I went for Liberator first. I loved Rusty, he was one of my favorites. I honestly kind of idealized him as I specced fully into speed. By the time we stood against he eachother, I was simply too fast. I flew too high. I knew in that moment that the ending I was going for then was truly the worst of them

I just beat the game for the first time last night . Chose the FoR ending. I was taxed emotionally. I gotta put the boots to Rusty, AND Ayre? Forgive me, comrades... But I have to do what I was brought to Rubicon to do... See you in New Game plus, buddy.

Why people fight him on the ground? It’s so boring, you get unlimited boost with no ceiling, developers intended you to fight him high up constantly boost dodging, it’s way more thematically awesome that way, and it makes the fight easier in my opinion, I struggled with him at first until I realized I could swap to all ranged and go up high with infinite boost.

Because not all builds are built for fighting up high in the air. Just because you find that more fun doesn't mean everyone does. The AC this person was using clearly does a lot better closer to the ground due to having the Songbirds. Even if he doesn't directly hit with them, the splash damage will still cause the stagger meter to go up, which will allow for heavy damage after the stagger. Some people prefer those builds.
