@@venesseomega5145 Given that Pixy had long since started his Redemption Arc by the time he was interviewed by Genette, It's more likely he's learned that Crimson One just pulled off essentially the SAME THING that he was helping try to pull off back when he wasn't right in the head, but on a FAR larger scale (Instead of just nuking capital cities, he scorched at least a good portion of an entire planet, given by how Crimson said "Millions of lives lost"), and instead of doing it out of some misguided belief that it would put an end to these invisible lines called borders and the wars and nationalism that come with them, did so out of simple SPITE. You think he would let that stand?

@@notani3533this enrages me and I’m sorry because you’re just trying to be silly but you are going to be the target of my ire for the next five minutes. The Crimson-1 ‘gaslighting’ meme is nonsense from people with no media literacy who couldn’t understand a SHRED of Crimson’s writing. It was a funny meme at first but I am tired of seeing it parroted as if it’s anything more than a shallow joke analysis of his character. He is not ‘gaslighting’ anyone - gaslighting requires intent - what Crimson is doing is called _projection._ Every single accusation he levels at Monarch is applicable to HIMSELF. He is trying to deal with the immense cognitive dissonance of everything he has done by blaming Monarch for all of it. At the end of the day, Crimson is a cop - a ‘Peacekeeper’ - and all of his beliefs are entrenched in the idea of the state’s monopoly on violence. Monarch threatens that monopoly, threatens the idea that Crimson is this neutral-at-worst-righteous-at-best arbiter of power, and he _cannot take it._ When Crimson blames Monarch for his actions he is trying to reassert his monopoly on violence, saying that Monarch is not a legitimate party at the table but instead a criminal (a “Mercenary dog”) lacking in any personal sovereignty. This is exactly what real police do as well against those who question their authority: they frame it as the person’s fault for resisting, for not complying, and justify any violence on their part as being caused by that person just not giving in when they ‘should have.’ Crimson is not trying to gaslight Monarch, it is his legitimate belief in his twisted world-policing ideology that Monarch is to blame for the loss of Cascadia and the nuking of Presidia. He downright says “If you didn’t show up, I wouldn’t have lost all I had” - if Monarch had just stopped resisting and obeyed the Federation’s monopoly on violence, Crimson would never have killed all those people. He doesn’t think the law _can be_ wrong, he thinks the law just _is_ - and as a Peacekeeper, he is the law. So he projects, he says “You, solely, are responsible for this” because Crimson’s ideology cannot make room for the idea that he power should be shared, that there are other people at the proverbial table with him. He never even says Monarch’s name until his dying speech - he won’t even accept the little bit of sovereignty that name would imply because doing so would give credence to Monarch as a real opponent, and the law doesn’t have opponents or equals. This is not ‘competitive gaslighting,’ this is _projecting_ because Crimson’s worldview can’t cope with the idea that he could’ve done something wrong. He is facing the enormous cognitive dissonance of being a ‘Peacekeeper’ who escalates a war, turns the world against him in the name of “world peace”, and betrays both his home country and the Federation in his pursuit of absolution - because if he can just win this battle, just finally kill Monarch, he can maybe prove that he can hold a monopoly on violence and absolve himself of everything. There’s a thing police have in America called ‘qualified immunity’ - a defense that allows them to get away with effectively anything as long as they can argue it was for the sake of doing their jobs in the name of the law. If Crimson can prove in his delusional mind that his actions - and the actions of the Federation as a whole - weren’t their own, that they did all of this to stop a criminal, that Monarch wasn’t a legitimate opponent or an equal combatant but a lawbreaker who had to be stopped, then might just be able to justify to himself what his side has done. He’s pushing the qualified immunity defense to its limit, trying to claim that everything the Federation did - everything HE’S doing as he betrays them in the name of their ideology - was just and righteous as he flies over _millions of innocent people he just murdered._ He has completely lost his mind and thinks if he can just kill Monarch the world will see that the mercenary wasn’t an enemy combatant after all, that the Cascadian forces were just an uprising and not a real government, that this whole thing is just because they wouldn’t follow his righteous orders and lay down their arms - he’s trying to argue qualified immunity for crimes against humanity. TLDR: Crimson isn’t trying to lie or to gaslight Monarch, he’s a psychotic cop who’s lost his mind trying to rationalize the things him and his side have done along the lines of his world-police ideology - an ideology that claims they can’t be wrong for enforcing the law, so whoever broke it must be to blame.

This fits so well really. IMO Rusty is definitely Pixy 1(he calls you Buddy ffs) and Iguazu is 100% Crimson 1. It would've been cool if we could've had Rusty fight with us in this battle but Ayre obviously makes more sense for this ending.

That's why I use Steel Haze Ortus for this battle, it syncs up perfectly with the arena mode where the last three acs are the Hal piloted by Handler Walter, Echo piloted by Ayre and Steel Haze Ortus which is piloted by nobody in the ending since Rusty was most likely killed by Allmind, so 621 takes the Steel Haze Ortus

I mean it's really possible Rusty found no opportunity to get in and possibly just didn't do anything since the Xylem just *stops.* I mean when he starts to see a million Vesper copies he just decides enough is enough for one day. Cause Walter says, "there's six identical copies" We can confirm that Pater, Swinburne, Maeterlink, O'Keefe, and Snail are dead. Hawkins likely died in the Depths, and that leaves Freud and Rusty, and Pater as V.III. They also don't seem to know if Snail is REALLY dead, so Pater is V.III and Rusty is presumed dead (in Liberator Arquebus is shocked to see him still alive) But I think Freud and Rusty survived, or at least Rusty did because there's only six copies which is really weird. If it was STEEL HAZE ORTUS, Walter would've said "six identical copies and an unknown AC" but he doesn't. I really think Rusty just never had any opportunity to rush in and try to somehow break into the Xylem's defenses since there was no opening. The Alea Iacta Est ending is confusing for everyone who isn't ALLMIND, Ayre, or you. I mean, a majority of the Vespers and Redguns slain, Raven himself presumed dead, and Arquebus' remnants in flames, and some Vesper clones on board? And Sea Spiders? And Overseer doing their Xylem crash? It's probably just so overwhelming that Rusty would've seen that there's literally no space to wiggle in and stop it.
