Emeraunde really did bit off more than they could chew. Plans sounds great on paper, but in typical Armored Core fashion, nothing EVER comes as easy or as planned.

So I’m confused. Zio Matrix was a subsidiary of Murakumo, while Emeraude and Balena were their own companies and Emeraude just managed to seize Chromes leftover assets?

Maybe it is because of the Issac Treaty? Emeraude participated in the war, thus having some shares from Chrome

And you've hit the nail on the head there. You see while we have proof that Zio was a subsidiary of Murakumo, the only information i have on hand is from the ac2 navigation guide and some pages of the Mechanical guide that they inherited the land of chrome. However if I'm taking a swing at this it possible Emeraude took the hostile take-over approach to all the other unknown subsidiaries of chrome and when the treaty came into play since emeraude had all the power it was better to give them the land and assets to achieve peace.

As Zio Matrix succeeded Murakumo, so did Emeraude for Chrome. Pretty much the same traits and beats to their story. Less advanced, but still greedy, ruthless, and willing to do whatever they thought was necessary. At least they never downplay or sugarcoat their intentions, nor do they betray you. But I don't doubt that if Emeraude thought they could harness the Disorder technology, or the more dangerous things like the STAI and Phobos, they would. Of course, that wouldn't come to pass. Their aggressive attitude meant everyone else became their enemy on principle, and ensured they would be the focus of the Frighteners' wrath from the start. Thus, their downfall upon Mars was almost certainly a forgone conclusion.

It was a request from another ac youtuber, they wanted me to roll my r's however since i did not want to mix it in with the lore video, it got its own video just for silliness.
