Strayeds existence in all three endings makes the changes grim and ominous. I mean, the biggest mystery is why Thermidor betrayed you on the ORCA ending. Despite the fact that he was willing the ensure that the closed plan would succeed in the Collard ending. its really contradicting. However one might say that strayeds victory over the Answerer and its demise shifted the activity of both OMER and Thermidor itself. that's just in my opinion though. regardless of ostdarvas affiliation he just seems to change his priorities depending on what you do. while Wynn only cares about keeping the cradles afloat.

I have to agree with your thoughts on the endings of strayed, none are exactly good endings and really no one really wins in any of them. As for Thermidor and his side switching, there are a theories that he is a double agent for omer, but I do like your thought on the answerer being the turning point where this may have shifted the activity of both Omer and Thermidor. I believe that with the defeat of the answerer it shook the confidence of Omer making them panic as they could see this mercenary who had beaten the odds willing to go all the way and they could not control this factor. As such when the time came thermidor suddenly turn is to stop this factor because with Orca gone and the league looking to have taken the victory. The corporation sees the only best outcome for them is to been seen a part of the heroes with their Lynx taking down the remaining orca member. Thanks again for the comment. Otzdarva backstabbed Omer because he was never on their side to begin with. Otzdarva’s bio states that he’s estranged from Omer, meaning he doesn’t like Omer at all. More importantly Thermidor is stated to be a divided man, so he’s not entirely on board with a plan that kills millions so Omer can get rich off space colonization. The league ending mentions that the economic growth after the cradles fell would be staggering. Otzdarva was never fully on board, it goes too far in the end and he just couldn’t take it.

​@@andrewrogers3067 Personally. i've learned that some descriptions don't guarantee their affiliation to anyone. that or they are deceptive. i say that because the descriptions are entirely based on their personality that is given to us by other informants. the description of Ostdarva was entirely based on the impression of his personality. and perhaps his "estranged" relationship with Omer was an act in order to avoid speculations. same with Thermidors behavior when he closes himself off from the other members and only has private discussions with malzel, and gives briefing to the other LYNX pilots when action needs to be taken. however i do agree that in the case that his behavior matches his reasoning to backstab both Omer and Strayed depending on the endings. but thats why i also say that in the case that he's doing this to benefit a company or an ideaology. his actions on all endings don't make sense at all.

@@HeyPachuco I don’t think that’s where the information for their characters comes from, I’m pretty sure they act more like an omniscient narrator. That said, if you don’t ignore both of his bios, and they have no reason to be inaccurate. His actions in all of the paths make sense. He DOES want to stop the planet from dying, but he does NOT want a corrupt company that he hates to benefit off the deaths of millions. If you ignore his bios, then there’s not much ground to stand on to make any of his actions make sense. He’s definitely NOT a double agent for the League and ORCA was NOT meant to kill people who betray the League (though they did need to die anyway because they were loose ends) Omer started ORCA so they could benefit from the closed plan, a plan they inherited from Rayleonard.

If thats true, why did he stubbornly go with the closed plan on the Collard ending? by sabotaging the closed plan it would hinder their benefit, and they would lose an edge to start the space project. yet by going with it, Omer would have everything they need in order to get started. And by betraying Strayed on the ORCA path would further contradict that belief. because on the ORCA path, Strayed has done crippling damage to collard during this campaign. He destroyed both Silent avalanche, and Destroyed BFFS new treasured Pilot. He also wiped out Rosenthals Arteria facilities, and also two of their pilots, Gerald and Empio. Malzel and Vaoh withered down GA forces after the Hijack on Big Box. And Strayed Destroyed The Answerer which was constructed and released by Omer and the Interior Union. so by fulfilling the closed plan, all companies would have a hard time getting a head start on the space project since all companies have suffered great casualties. there really was no reason for Ostdarva to betray you at the cranium if we're going off by your information. thats not to say that the information is wrong, or misleading. it's just deceptive to look at. think about it, why give Hari Two bios when he only needs one? either he represents Collard, or he represents ORCA. this was meant to tell the players that he played both sides. that applies to Thermidor and Ostdarva. if his true identity was Ostdarva, they wouldn't need Thermidor. ORCA sees him as Thermidor, a Leader, a visionary, and a passive demagogue. where Collard sees him as Ostdarva, a Battle genius, Anti-political. and closed off from his collogues. To rephrase what i said about the informants. Im saying that this information is entirely based on how Collard and ORCA sees their LYNX pilots. and it's really up to us to know More about them on a personal level. because this information is only the basics. By understanding that he originated from Rayleonard, and combineing that with thermidors commitment with the closed plan Which was originally rayleonards plan. its simple to put the puzzle together that everything Ostdarva was doing was in fact for rayleonard, and would explain his enstrangement from Omer. however this behavior was not the case when he tried to stop you in ORCAs ending. and returned to being Collards pilot. and by making a hypothesis that Omer took in Rayleonards employees and technicians, we can at least get an idea that Omer is involved somehow, whether its funding the ORCA, handing them ACS and MTS, even Arms Forts. and may be directly involved with Ostdravas choices on both endings. Whether its the idea that he is a double agent, or acting behalf of his own character. but like i said. this is just An idea, not on board with agreeing that he is a double agent. Im just proving that i'm not ignoreing their bios. im just explaining that the bios are first impressions and basics of How Collard and ORCA sees their pilots.

The improvement is extremely visible, especially when compare your very first video to the recent ones. All those AC4 lore videos are wonderful to see, especially considering how old the original content is nowdays. Since you are start branching out to lores other than corporations, have you considered to do some lore videos on Lynx? With the way you do AC reviews, it would interesting to see you comment on those Lynx's combat capability and their encounters.

Thank you for your kind words and to answer your question its been an idea on the back burner. The idea being to combine a lynx and their AC in a single lore/review video, I'll have to set up a mock one up and see if it works.

Slightly disappointed as Rosenthal is my favorite corporation in Armored Core 4 and seem to be one of the few with no political misdeeds in the story but either through a lack of spine or political influence end up being reduced to something of a subsidiary of Omer by the time of F.A.

I wish the new gundam had gone the route of armored core stories about corpos duking it out through hiring supposedly neutral mercs, instead of teenage drama. They even have competing companies inside the Beneritt group.

Omer is easily the most influential, powerful and historical corporation in the series. They manipulated practically everything within 4 and FA. By the way, one thing I will say is that there’s more backing up the theory they created ORCA. Check out Malzel’s bio, plus Otzdarva and Thermidor are the same person

If Omer had choice yes, however i think from the text given about the game having the player work with Extra-terrestrial corporations and resistance groups as a mercenary its possible we have a new time-line for ac. On the other hand this maybe the foundation from acvd at work here.

In the last mission there is only a single difference of what happens depending on which difficultly you as a player take as the real history. Just to be safe going to put the official spoiler warning! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At then end of armored core 4 on normal difficulty the mercenary kills his friend Joshua O'Brien in the 00-ARETHA saving the colony before departing with Fiona. On Hard difficulty after defeating Joshua the mercenary then fights and kills Celo Omers' number one Lynx before departing with Fiona.
